pacemaker lead noise
Had recent
pacemaker
download and it’s picked up lead noise. This has never happened in the 12 years I’ve had
pacemaker
leads. Tried doing different movements to try and reproduce it but didn’t trigger it.
Pacemaker
team didn’t appear concerned just to go back in 12 months time.

Recent HF diagnosis
If it's not working as well as they hope, they will probably fit a
pacemaker
, but he told me they only work in about 50% of cases, which worried me a lot because the next option after that is to assess me for a heart transplant.

a flutter ablation versus a fib ablation
Three years ago I had a
pacemaker
being my pulse rate, went down to 25. I’ve tried Tyson and that worked get me back in rhythm but I had to go off because my QT number was very long and they were concerned about sudden death. They put the
pacemaker
in put in and now I’m in a flutter.

Pacemaker, pain and sailing
Has this happened to anyone with a
pacemaker
? Lastly - is there anyone here who is a sailor and has a
pacemaker
? I am the helmsman on our 28ft yacht. I don’t know if I can handle the boat in bad weather with a
pacemaker
. Anyone else in the same position? I don’t want to give up sailing.

An Eventful January
Week 4 - Monday,
Pacemaker
pre-op. Tuesday, new
pacemaker
to be fitted, looking forward to having the op done and dusted. Although I have this nagging doubt that something will come up in the pre-op that may delay things.

No treatment offered for A F
Should she be asking about any of those treatments or a
pacemaker
? Her general health is really good .She seems to have been told very little about her condition apart from how to control her warfarin levels. Or is it typical for the NHS in Wales?

How Long?
I have heart failure and a blood clot and am getting a
pacemaker
and a defib on the 15th. Thats the main event, the prelude to it is an MRI on Thursday this week. I'm not really claustrophobic but wondering how long I'll be in the thing in case I suddenly find out I am?

Hypo type episode on Dapaglaflozin/Forxiga, and Spironolactone, while waiting for a pacemaker upgrade. Advice anyone?
He says I can come off it when the new
pacemaker
is fitted. Now the waiting begins. I had already emailed my AF specialist and he had put me on the priority list for a
pacemaker
upgrade even before I got to the HF clinic. He also told me to stop Flecainide and continue Bisprolol.

All Systems Go
Had my Pre-op this morning for my
Pacemaker
Box/Batteries replacement. It went well enough, my bloods including INR were fine, although there was concern over ongoing breathlessness and the extent of fluid retention in my lungs and chest cavity.

cardiac MRI with a MRI safe pacemaker
has anyone had a cardiac MRI scan with a MRI safe
pacemaker
and leads ? I was told by a cardiologist a while ago that even though
pacemaker
MRI safe they don’t like doing scans to heart. My echo images are always poor and I wanted to know if the cardiac mri was an option. Thanks

Swapping Rasagiline for Safinamide - Hobson’s Choice or out of the frying pan and into the fire?
I have a
pacemaker
and take Atorvastatin and Ramipril for heart issues. Now the pharmacy says Rasagiline is in short supply in the UK and likely to become unobtainable.

Pacemaker Needed
She said the consultant had instructed her to put me down for a
pacemaker
and to expect to be called in for an echocardiogram in the near future, and possibly an angiogram after that. I am trying to make sense of it all.

What's life like with a pacemaker?
Hi, I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who is living with a
pacemaker
. My father is 85 and has been recommended a
pacemaker
by his cardiologist following 2 collapses, a slow heart rate and slow atrial fibrillation.
