Still Fed Up
I can’t have an MRI as I have a
Pacemaker
. That was several months ago and I am still waiting. I now have an appointment with the respiratory team. I am so scared that they are not going to help me and leave me in Limbo yet again. It is so hard on me and also my family.

LV systolic dysfunction
It left me with total heart block a leak and a dual responsive
pacemaker
. 2nd person known to ever survive such a rupture so it seems. 18 years on and still here (just about). I’m 42. Thanks for any help or light that can be shed on this.

Failed Ablation for SVT
They tried twice to a late, but had to stop because it was in too tight of a spot and the risk for a
pacemaker
went from 1% to 5-10%. The doctor gave me the choice to try again, but he'd put a skilled team together or I can try meds.

History of Paroxysmal A.Fib.
I have now been discharged by cardiologist (scrap heap) I just have
pacemaker
checked yearly. The A fib was so fierce yesterday my chest is still trembling this morning. I feel as though I have hit a blank wall now, regarding treatment.

Incessant cough
Hi guys, I was diagnosed with total heartblock and had a
pacemaker
fitted in May. Everything went well but since last week I've felt very unwell. I developed a cough which has got progressively worse and a high temperature of 102.

Awful news
My friend gave birth nearly 10yrs ago and her heart gave up during labour and she had an emergency c-sec then later went on to have a
pacemaker
. She hasn’t had the best quality of life the last nearly 10yrs, anxiety and severe tiredness amongst her heart not playing ball.

Weaning off bisoprolol
And my EP doesn’t even know yet till 28th August when I see him at the
pacemaker
clinic that my GP has even took me off it!! Let’s put it this way I feel worse now I think than I was when i was taking the Biso. But maybe it takes a few days/weeks for it to get out my system.

I have atrial fibrillation and a

, both as a result of open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve with a bioprosthetic valve.

Pace and ablate and 4 days in fast AF
What are the pros and cons of the
pacemaker
? Could that save me for having multiple ablation which would mean lots of hospital visits? I know you cannot give medical advice but your experiences could help me. Thank you in advance

Pacemaker/Kardia
Purely out of interest, does anyone know what reading you would get if you used a Kardia with a
pacemaker
?

Pacemaker readings
Can anyone out there with a
pacemaker
tell me what sort of information the clinic gets when you get your pacer checked. Does it then discussed with yourself ?

Learning to run
Hi guys, I am two years out of an aortic valve replacement, and in March this year had a dual chamber
Pacemaker
fitted for good measure. I would like to take on the couch to five K challenge. I haven't run anywhere for twenty years, and I'm not a pensioner quite yet.

Trying to be positive. Sorry but I need to off load with a long post
I didn’t realise how much I relied on my RB as a
pacemaker
, she knows my pace and notices me speeding up before I do. So I plugged earphones into phone, put radio on, got app on and off we go.

AV node ablation - is sport still possible?
I was reading some comments which say that the
pacemaker
does respond to the demands required for sport and hence increased muscle fatigue and sometimes fainting ( not very good when cycling). Any experience would be welcomed

Pacemakers and Golf
I had a
pacemaker
fitted about 18 months ago and an AV Node Ablation 6 weeks ago. Is there any reason why I cannot get back on the golf course. I am worried that the action of swinging the club could adversely affect the
pacemaker
wires. Is there any golfers in the forum who can comment on this?
