Can anyone out there with a pacemaker tell me what sort of information the clinic gets when you get your pacer checked.
Does it then discussed with yourself ?

Most are able to store any odd events so that the specialists can see what use your heart has made of the unit. This should be reported to the cardiologist who should then discuss with you.
Thanks Bob. Getting a bit anxious as hubby is back to Papworth soon to get it monitored and seeing EP. Just wondering what to expect.
Hi Bob. I have a question you maybe able to help. Since my husbands ablation last October and his pacemaker in April this year, it would appear he is getting very short bursts of tachycardia during the night between 2am and 6am. He feels nothing.
He’s had no AF since his ablation.
Are episodes of tachycardia common .
If it is not affecting his QOL I wouldn't worry too much. We all get oddities from time to time but seldom have then recorded like he has. For example every so often when I wake in the morning if I roll onto my back (always sleep on my front) and stretch I can get a very short (say three second burst ) of tachycardia. If it went on for a minute I might worry but it doesn't so I don't. We all focus far too much on these things and i'm sure that hospital would mention it if they were worried.
Thanks Bob. It’s not his QOL as we asked that. EP wasn’t concerned at all and said it represented less an 1per cent of the readings. Most importantly no AF .
I value your advise.
