Weaning off bisoprolol

Well 2 weeks ago I posted about coming off Biso and today is the first day without taking it at all. I’ve been monitoring my BP and it’s still way tooooo low!! I’ve now got the worse headache ever, which I hope does NOT go into a migraine which in turn will trigger Vertigo!! I feel aweful, I feel ‘heavy’ if that makes sense, yesterday I walked around like a zombie what ever one of those walks around like haha!! Sorry got to keep my sense of humour or I’ve had it!!

I just feel like I’m in a dream world, everything is woozy fuzzy I feel dizzy all the time, it’s horrible, wish I never was put on the jolly Biso at all. And my EP doesn’t even know yet till 28th August when I see him at the pacemaker clinic that my GP has even took me off it!!

Let’s put it this way I feel worse now I think than I was when i was taking the Biso. But maybe it takes a few days/weeks for it to get out my system. I was only on 1.25mg a day for goodness sakes!!

Oh dear hope you improve soon, what dosage were you on? Did you reduce gradually? I was once told that many drugs do take 2 or 3 weeks to get out of our system so hopefully this will be the last fling of it!

Best wishes

I was on 1.25mg I couldn’t tolerate it being raised anymore ! But yes not easy coping with it! See what the next few weeks brings, I just want my life back ide like a clear brain to be able to think concentrate and focus! Would be nice! But thank you for your kind words

I know we all respond a little differently to Bisoprolol ( or even a Lot differently!) so give it a few more days and take it easy.

I found no problem stopping 1.25 Bisop ....probably because it had little or no effect on me. I can remember one cardiac registrar laughing when I told him I took 1.25mg. He said that I may as well put it on the table and LOOK at it and it would be just as useful.😕

I took 20mg in under 24 hrs a couple of months ago ( in error, longish saga) and it took me a good 7 days before I felt anything like normal . BTW..they didn't 'work' still had dccv .

I do hope you feel more normal soon.

Regards

Sandra

If you are taking an anticoagulant the words 'worst headache ever' are a bit worrying. Hope you are ok today?

In a week's time you will probably feel much better, if not before - so be patient! It does take our bodies a while to adjust.
