Pace and Ablate - can I still pursue sporting activities.

I am in the shall I shan't I have the Ablate and Pace mode. I need to be sure I can continue to ride my bicycle ( I live in a very hilly area and before this AF occurred I would average 30 miles a day) and I also kayak. I was reading some comments which say that the pacemaker does not respond to the demands required for sport and hence increased muscle fatigue and sometimes fainting ( not very good when cycling).

Any experience would be welcomed

We all have to make life choices when we have AF. Cycling per se is not a problem nor walking . Trying to push ourselves more than our hearts want is the problem. I suspect that you are right regarding the pacemaker although they do respond to demand. Just not the kind you want to ask of it.

May be a case for trying out an electric bike?
