Hi! I went to get an ablation for my SVT yesterday. I have had SVT episodes since I was about 9 years old (now about to be 26). They tried twice to a late, but had to stop because it was in too tight of a spot and the risk for a pacemaker went from 1% to 5-10%. The doctor gave me the choice to try again, but he'd put a skilled team together or I can try meds. Meds in the past have only made me feel smaller episodes, but I think it's my best option at the moment.

That must be disappointing for you but it is now a path that has been explored and has not taken you forward. There will be a clearer picture though and that's helpful.
I had a failed ablation in May 2016 for SVT. Now I am thinking about a second ablation. It's a tough decision. The Dr thinks it is possible to get a successful outcome but the spot is very close to the sinus making it more possible I'd need a pacemaker. I currently take nadalol and flecainide, which make me fatigued. Nadalol alone didn't help. I'm 49.
It's very hard to learn about the cure available for SVT only to find out the contrary.
