Thin skin and bruising
I have a
pacemaker
and was put on Sintrom in March this year as I have AF. I am finding I bruise really easily and also I get scrapes and scratches in my skin that I don't know what I have done. Is there anything I can do to: Help with the bruises?

Advice regarding setting of expectations ahead of cardiology appointment would be appreciated.
Hopefully I’m not leading the witness too much, but is someone in my situation, with fairly low symptoms and HR below 100 unlikely to be a candidate for cardioversion or ablation or
pacemaker
. The only definite I know is that I am in persistent AF.

Apparently l am out of the system since l was given a
pacemaker
and can't even ring up the cardiac nurse. Has anyone else got this cough as l realise not everyone withheart failure has it and what do you take to help?

AV Node Ablation and Medication
I had an appointment with the
Pacemaker
Clinic for last Friday, so on Thursday I phoned the Cardiology Nurses again (I'd phoned them several days previously but the person I spoke to didn't know the answer and said they would get back to me but didn't).

Encourage to those contemplating valve replacement
My
pacemaker
is a mere baby at 4, but again, I found having a
pacemaker
fitted more relaxing than having a filling (and I have an excellent dentist btw). Enjoy the photo, and feel free to contact me via this site if you have any questions or concerns.

I know this may have been asked many times - Apple Watch - yay or nay?
Was fitted with a
pacemaker
on 19th October. I am hoping to get back to the gym & mostly running (on the treadmill) which is my passion, after my six week check of course! My problem is that I am ‘all or nothing’I am either zero or 100. I don’t know how to build up gradually!

pacemakers and ICDs
Also do you choose as to which
pacemaker
or ICD AND would it be better to go private for this rather than go through NHS and if so where to get it done? All ideas welcome.

Postural/orthostatic Hypotension
I have now found an article where these symptoms were relieved completely by their EP adjusting their
PaceMaker
Rate Response sensitivity & told to tap their
Pacemaker
to simulate activity & speed up their HR for 10 minutes whenever they felt dizziness!

A difficult journey
My journey will hit another block now, I am scheduled to have a
pacemaker
fitted on Thursday and I’m not sure when I can run again, and, in view of the previous struggle, if I can restart at 25 mins, I may step back a couple of weeks and build my way up again.

Neuropathy
After coming out of icu I had a
pacemaker
implanted. After being discharged from hospital I was recovering well after about six months when I started getting pins and needles in my legs and a burning sensation at night. It got a lot worse and now both legs below the knees are numb.

does anyone else here have any experience of having a
pacemaker
/scid fitted and knows if it is safe to continue to play an electric pipe organ without it affecting the performance/settings of their device!?

Induction Hobs
I read on the manual that people with a
pacemaker
or other electrical appliance fitted must not use an induction hob. I have two mechanical (St Judes) valves, fitted in 2021. Am I alright to use this hob, or do I need to purchase a different type of hob?

Going for Ablation
In my last post a few weeks ago I was concerned about a "conversion pause" of 5.8 seconds and my cardiologist had referred me to see an EP to discuss
pacemaker
vs ablation. Well, I saw the EP yesterday and after a lengthy conversation he highly recommended the ablation.
