Hello Quilter43,
Sometimes standing up too fast can cause a 'head rush' and feelings of dizziness or faintness. It can be a sign of orthostatic intolerance (symptoms that are triggered by an increase in heart rate when moving from lying or sitting to standing upright).
Please feel free to contact our Patients Services Team info@afa-us.org if you would like to discuss this with someone.
I don't know..just know above..been told not only time..don't understand how sipped beats show on linq.
If you have been told that your heart is pausing - that is good enough reason to recommend a pacemaker - so that you can then take rate control when your heart goes too fast when in AF. The Linq heart monitor will capture everything your heart does.
A LINQ™ device is a self-contained cardiac device that's around the same size as a USB stick. It's a great way of assessing intermittent symptoms and is implanted under the skin for long-term heart rhythm monitoring. You may need the device implanted if you commonly experience fainting or sporadic palpitation symptoms.
I am assuming that is what you are talking about?
Presume you refer to the Covid vaccine 'Booster'. Do not exert yourself and any complications seek medical advice as there are well known issues with these boosters.
I fainted within 24 hours of my Covid booster for the first time in my life and then had an episode of AF
The good news is that I have not had an episode since and that was 16 months ago
I had a 6 minute pause..almost fainted 3 hours later..I think vaccine in some way caused it.drs want me to get pacemaker..not sure if other pauses and duration.ambivalent..is this unreasonable.about 16 months for me too.
I think you may mean 6 seconds pause - it would have been much more than a ‘faint’ had it been 6 minutes!
My husband was told any pause greater than 4 seconds would be of concern and pacemaker recommended. His was implanted in 2014 and has given him a new lease of life. Now 89 still doing relatively very well and conducting a singing group, walks about 1 mile a day & believes he will be back to playing golf later this spring.
Best wishes
right 6 sec..dont know if I would be here after 6 minutes
