Shortage of Breath with low Immune System
Hi Guys, any similar experiences re the above. I was diagnosed with GPA last December, done really well after treatment and down to 5mg of steroids but still taking Azathioprine. ANCA marker low and steadily reducing. However when I finally got to 5mg of Prednisolone after a couple of weeks started getting

Help! Does anyone else have trouble breathing with excessive phlegm?
Hi. I have fibro/c.f. as part of an autoimmune disease. I also have asthma. I have been having these episodes for a while where I feel very sleepy and feel like I am not breathing well. If I use my inhaler, a few hours later, I cough up significant amounts of phlegm and then feel my breathing improve

Hi I'm new here
It has been good to read all of your posts gleaning information as I went through them. Was diagnosed with COPD 8 years ago after a chest infection. Prescribed tiotropum and Ventolin inhalers and was told I had approximately 8 yrs left if I carried on smoking. I gave up smoking 6yrs later when I

1st ever Asthma attack and diagnosis
Newbie here. I have been having issues breathing for a few months now off and on, including coughing and wheezing. Thought nothing of it other than I was slightly overweight and being a smoker. Thursday however things took a couple of turns. I rang 111 on my other half insistence as I was wheezing in

Asthma hit me out of the blue
Hello to everyone at A UK I joined Health Unlocked some time ago because I suffered from Polymyalgia Rheumatica and needed advice. It's a nasty auto immune condition that can be managed with steroids. I am one of the lucky people to make a recovery after 2 years. Now, I'm getting on happily with life

Trelegy problem?
I have been using Trelegy inhaler for 3 months or so...everything was fine, but then I noticed that when I would get up in the middle of the night to urinate, I would be leaking all the way to the pot! Then I noticed I was getting some sharp pain in my urethra area..so I looked up side effects on Trelegy

Why aren't my meds working?
Hi all, I'd need a bit of help as I'm not sure what's going on... I've been diagnosed with asthma bronchiale when I was 3. It was mild/moderate then totally went when I was about 14ish. I then moved to the UK (I'm Hungarian) when I was 27. I'm now 40, and recently my asthma is difficult. I'm on Fostair

Steroid Card?
I've just been removing my personal information from my new inhaler (Relvar 184/22) and noticed it says to carry a steroid card. Does anyone know what this is and why it is needed? Thanks

Not my finest...
First cold run, and it reminded me with a bang that I have asthma. Only managed to run for 25 minutes as a full blown attack was threatening and after gasping hopefully at my inhaler I realised that in a moment of stultifying stupidity I'd brought an empty one. Not good. I'm not going to call it a fail

Adult-onset asthma and Cushing
Hi all! Firstly I'm Asian and not from UK, but we don't have forums like these in my country. Just would like some advice on current situation. I had adult onset asthma since start of 2019 and it became so bad I would wake up at 3am breathless and vomiting. I was placed on Seretide 25/50, 2 in morning

I am getting real aggravation from my two daughters. I’ve just ordered a mobility scooter so I can go on walks with my husband. I can’t walk far but I try. I have had balance problems and arthritis for a number of years and have always coped with gym, swimming and Zumba. Since my heart attack my balance

Not sure who to believe at this point.
Hello everyone, hope you're having a splendid day, feeling healthy, and staying safe. I made a post on this forum 3 months ago and the responses I got were very positive and made me hopeful that I'm not alone in this mess. I was "diagnosed" with asthma three months ago and prescribed a corticosteroid

Just a quick random question. Does anyones lung condition symptoms improve after exercise? Im still undiagnosed and have daily mild symptoms but everytime i do cardio exercise such as 5 and 10km runs, i notice my symptoms improve for the rest of the day. Not doing so well
Have just had follow up appointment with asthma nurse following a and e visit yesterday. I now have another ten day course of pred. Doubled the strength of the combined inhaler. Also added in montelukast. She’s calling back Friday to check how things are going. This is the worst my asthma has

Does anyone else suffer badly with breathing problems and wheeziness with hypothyroidism? I have had mild asthma but it’s always been under control, however lately I’m so short of breath and wheezy constantly. My peak flow is still 500-600 so I’m not sure i agree with my doctors when they keep telling
