Could pet dander make asthma worse?
Hi Everyone! I am 67 yr. old woman with a long history of postnasal drip (lifelong) and acid reflux (10 yrs.). I was diagnosed with asthma in Aug. 2020 which I didn't feel too bothered by and even wondered if it was a correct diagnosis. In Apr. 2021, I was exposed to a lot of smoke which set off bronchitis

Pneumonia
I was ill for 5 weeks, with a suspected chest infection and couldn't get time off work to go to gp. This turned into pneumonia, 2 courses of antibiotics, 2 courses of steroids and 2 weeks off work recovering. I went back to work on Tuesday but am still quite unwell. Im not relying on my reliever inhaler

Fostair cleaning instructions
I have been taking fostair for some months. As I get use up the doses, the inhaler gets clogged up. The cleaning instructions say wipe the mouth piece inside and out, but you don't wash it like you do the clenil modulite inhaler. The hole gets clogged up over time as wiping it does not properly clean

Do I have un-treated asthma?
Hi there, I'm 40 and I've had a diagnosis of asthma for years but it's never been properly diagnosed, treated or reviewed. I've sporadically had blue and brown inhalers but never felt they did much good. I've never really believed the asthma diagnosis because I don't have the classic symptoms such as

One year old with viral wheeze
Our daughter is 23 months and has been in and out of hospital with Bronchiolitis and viral wheeze since she was 11 months - usually she needs a couple of nights on oxygen before she’s sent home, we’ve been blue lighted in once. She was in with pneumonia in early September, and has been ill again twice

I’ve throughout the years and not every winter had a serious chest infection which comes with periodic asthma. As a child had bronchitis many times. Currently on amoxicillin but not really working. GP prescribed 40ml Prednisolone 5 days. 8 a day. Also on two inhalers one a steroid. I’m worried about

Trimbow inhaler and pneumonia
I have been hospitalised twice in the past year with severe pneumonia. I have been prescribed a trimbow inhaler. However after a bit of investigation it appears that this inhaler can cause pneumonia. Should i be using this?

Spacer problem
Hi everyone, I’m (very!) newly diagnosed with asthma and I only just got my first steroid inhaler today. I’ve been using a rescue inhaler with an aerochamber spacer for about a month now and have basically got the hang of it. The thing is, the steroid inhaler has a different shape to the rescue one;

Inhaler change from Seretide to Fostair Next
Have been changed to fostair Nexthaler 3 days ago from Seretide 125. At the moment my asthma is worse. Just wondering how long it takes to work when you change inhalers? Also, already had leg cramp last night. Doesn't bode well!

Post Vaccine Lung Function
Upon receiving my second Pfizer shot in Feb I began noticing my lung capacity was reduced when performing any exercise or work-related activity. My Fitbit heart rate during walking jumped from the mid-90s to 110 to 120. In addition, my sleep pattern, which was already poor, is worse. I found I have problems

Fostair and shakes does it ever go away?
I started fostair last March/April. I’ve been on 2x mornings and 2x night 100/6 since end of last year. I look like I’m in alcohol withdrawals most of the morning and evening. Does it go away?Do alternative inhalers have less of the shaking as a side effect. I’m hoping to change to a 24 hour one

Portable spacer?
Hi, I’ve just been recently diagnosed with asthma that can be slightly severe esp during this weather, so it requires carrying my inhalers and spacer with me at all times. However, my job keeps me on my feet and away from my office, I cannot bring anything big in my pocket either. I am wondering if anyone

Post Flu Vaccine concerns
Had the flu Vax last week followed by an extreme sore throat 24hours later and slight tightness in throat which went on to produce phlegm. Thought I was getting better then the cough started .. I'm now 11 days in and still using my inhaler to relieve tightness ..I am usually a well functioning asthmatic
