Does anyone know how long surgery is from your MDT meeting?
Hi warriors, I've just had my results from my MDT meeting. I've got to have a consent/discussion consultation and another with a bowel consultation incase I need a stoma. My question is, does anyone have a time scale of when they got surgery after the MDT meeting. I'm under Cambridge team. Thankyou

Dealing with endo after children in late thirties
hi there I’m 37 and had two children via IVF when I was 33 and 35. I have stage 4 recto vaginal endometriosis and had a bowel resection and temporary stoma when I was 31 before starting IVF. Now I’m finished having children, I’ve gone back on the pill and run it back to back to prevent periods. I’m

diverticulitis incontinence
Diverticulitis hot of nowhere. I fell down the stairs, was life flighted to UH main Campus, and had multiple Harkin’s procedures. Gutted thrice, like a catfish. I’ll be with ostomy for rest of my life. It’s been 40 days. Weak as a kitten I’m just in to rehab but still draining. They equipped me

Bowel or endometrioma pain?
Hi I'm hoping someone can shed a bit of light on my pain. I have endo in lots of places in POD on ligaments and my bowel.I also have a 5cm endometrioma. I am down for surgery for hysterectomy as I have adenomyosis and endo extraction. I've opted out of a bowel resection as the waiting list is longer

Dense adhesions after 15 surgeries, + 2 rare medical conditions
At the age of 25, my life changed forever. After 4 years, 2 surgeries and no diagnosis, as to what the problems was, I eventually found out I had multiple intestinal lipomatosis and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Ileostomy formed 1996. 13 more surgeries have performed. Due to absorption problems, + major

FDG elements of PSMA scan
I had a FDG scan a few days ago . At the heart of my confusion is the function of FDG in giving a positive outcome to Pluvicto infusions. Is it a good thing to have lots of 'FDG Avid' showing up, or do you want those aspects of the scan to be as hidden as possible (so that the PSMA -Avid cells can be

What is normal after surgery and what isn't
My husband had stoma surgery two weeks ago and got home a week later. Since coming home he seems to be deteriorating not improving. On the advice of his stoma nurse, we are going to see the GP to get bloods taken, etc this morning. However, is it normal to go off your food, be scared to eat in case

Stoma with Denosumab osteoporosis medication
Hi, I am posting the same thing in the osteoporosis forum and the stoma forum at the suggestion of my friend. My mum has had a stoma for over 50 years and is also on osteoporosis medication. Her doctor has suggested she moves to Denosumab which contains sorbitol and is a twice yearly injection. She

Pale skin during flare ups
Does anyone else get a really washed out, pale almost grey skin during flare ups? My Mum often comments on me looking very pale but I caught sight of myself in the mirror yesterday and my eyes were dark underneath (despite having had a long nap), skin so pale with an almost greenish grey tint. Not very

PSMA Analysis needed
I'm awaiting the visual images from my PSMA FDG scan. In the meantime, I've got a written report and I could do with your help. The backdrop is that I'm hoping to be considered eligible for PSMA therapy in Melbourne in May-Aug. At the heart of it lies a really simple question (and apologies for my naivety

Surgery etc.
Hi All, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 OC in May 2023 with the cancer migrated into my colon. I had been feeling unwell for 6 months and was assured by my doctor in February that it was acid reflux. This was despite my mentioning I have gynaecological issues in the family. The symptoms were bizarre

Diagnosed DIE of rectum/bladder/ovaries/POD
Hi, 24 and just been diagnosed with DIE of the recum (5cm from opening) and large endo adhesions on uterus, bowel, bladder and ovaries and obliterated pouch of douglas. I haven't seen a consultant yet for surgery options - just wondering if anyone had similar diagnoses and what they went through? I
