I just started
Orencia
and it seems to be helping, fingers crossed. Just frustrated with the 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

What a day!
She is switching me to
Orencia
. Only now it will be infusions not injections. She wants stronger than injections. She is also not happy with Neurologist starting Lyrica again. So they may discontinue that as well? Who knows. I just took Humira injection and feel terrible.

More med changes!
She is now changing to
Orencia
. Unlike Humira, she wants to switch to infusions. I have read about infusion reactions. It does frighten me a little. Have any of you experienced problems with this drug? I ordered genetic testing in hopes of avoiding drug reactions. I do not have results as yet.

Abatacept (Orencia) and 'slow days'
Hi Have been on Abatacept since January and although it took five months before it started working (and is my fourth biologic) it's now made me feel like a diffeent woman in terms of energy levels and feeling well. I inject myself every week on Tuesdays but have found I have a couple of really 'slow'

Re: discussion on Paddison Program
Just this year I have tried
Orencia
and Actemra. Neither worked for me. Next the Dr. is recommending Rutuxin which is an intravenous medicine taken every 6 months. I am very nervous about this medicine. I have investigated many diet options but am already a vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free.

Anyone taking biologics--effects on liver tests?
Anyone taking biologics like enbrel, humira, remicade or other drugs like
orencia
to treat another autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis or crohne's? If so, did your liver enzymes go down as well?

Very lengthy but worth the read
Orencia
is currently used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, where it has been approved by the FDA and shown to be safe and effective. In the study involving patients with PBC, the people that enter will receive six months of

Info on orencia
Hi everyone, Is anyone on
orencia
and methotrexate? I am being switched from Enbrel to
orencia
and am a little frightened of this drug. It seems the older you are, taking this drug, the higher the chance of cancer.

How long does orencia (abatacept) take to work?
I've just done my 5th injection of
orencia
and my joints are still so swollen and painful. I think the drug is working a bit because I couldn't get out of bed a few weeks ago, I was sleeping all the time, that has improved.

Cimzia and Orencia
Me and my Dr. decided that I would start
Orencia
or Cimzia soon and I've been researching both. I was excited to try
Orencia
since I read somewhere that it might also help with Sjogren's syndrome.
