Early morning struggles
I'm nearly at week 12 on Enbrel. I can feel some improvement although coming off pred its hard to be completely clear about things as my body adjusts. However I have noticed how dreadful I feel first thing, and then after a shower, getting dressed, I tend to feel a bit more human. I know this early morning

Rituximab (MabThera)
Hi it's the first time I've posted on here but everyone seems very helpful so here goes. I've been on methotrexate for about 4 years 25mg. At first I took hydroxychloraquin with it but the disease was still active so we tried various other things which made me ill so it was decided that I would have

Do antiTNFs work without backup?
I'm currently on methotrexate, lefluomide and hydroxy and will be starting on enbrel in a few weeks time. My understanding is that I will have to carry on taking at least one of the above DMARDs - don't know for sure but think lefluomide will be stopped once I start enbrel. I appreciate that I'll need

Any information on Enbrel
Hello, I am about to have the tests to see if I can have Enbrel. The Rheumy nurse first told me that there may be a risk of skin cancer and M.S with this drug. When I asked her what that risk can be it didn't appear to be that clear. I don't sunbathe and put sun lotion on generally, but it doesn't seem

Have I made the wrong decision?
I have a chronic bladder condition and suffer with urinary tract infections from time to time. Several weeks ago I decided to opt out of starting enbrel and instead chose to go on methotrexate, the reason being that I was concerned about the cancer risk with the former. I think my rhematologist would

Has anyone had adverse breathing difficulties while taking Enbrel.
I stopped after 18 months. It caused severe breathing problems for me. Respiratory consultant had not seen them before.

Bad Flare
Struggling to type this, going through a really bad flare in arms, shoulder, hands knees and hip, which came out of nowhere last night, hoping it has peaked, this is the worst I have ever felt in 2 years, currently on nothing but Hydroxychloriquine due to low platelet count so missing MTX and Sulph,

Enbrel injections- more painful than usual
Hi all, I have been contacted recently by a lady who feels that since the supply issues there were a few months ago with Enbrel, her injections seem to be more painful when she administers them. They sting a lot more and the area can become bruised and swollen. I have given her some suggestions to

Very slow progress - can anyone share experience coming off pred? Or on enbrel?
I'm down from 10 to 7 mg pred daily and week 6 of Enbrel. I'd love any experience of doing either of these. I do have the odd moment of thinking - yes I'm doing x or y which I couldn't do a few weeks ago, but I'm very tired a lot of the time. It might help me to know how other people have managed these

Do you use Enbrel and are you travelling?
If you have answered yes to the above then you may want to know of my experience with that dreaded word HCH. Up until last year when going on holiday I would contact HCH they would provide a letter for me to take to hand to security so that medication was not scanned, they also supplied me with the

leflunomide has started to make me feel sick
I have been on Leflunomide for 2 weeks. To start with I felt really tired but no other problems. Then yesterday morning my stomach felt a bit rough. It wore off, but today it has been bad all day. I haven't been able to eat properly and have nausea and feel weak and washed out. I rang the rheumy nurse

ENBREL DELIVERIES FROM HAH
Thanks to those who responsed to my previous question. After 8 calls to them I finally got through and was told the delay in responding was staff shortage and an IT problem. As you know you can ask on the day of your delivery for a two hour time slot, but this is not working and patients are ringing

Humira, Enbrel or Rituximab? I wonder if anyone else was given a choice, and if so, how they reached a decision
I am due to start Anti TNF treatment next week. At my last appointment, the Rheumatologist gave me leaflets on Humira, Enbrel and Rituximab to peruse. I am not clear if this means I have a choice, but if I do, I wonder which is the most popular. As well as the risks, I might take into consideration
