I have been on Enbrel for a few months now. I currently have blood tests monthly but it was fortnightly until recently (everything fairly stable with bloods so didn't need them so often).

Hello

Can depend on dose and patient, anything from 2/3 weeks or once month

I have been injecting since Dec 2012 and have gone to bi-monthly tests for the past year. I think as soon as your body is responding they let you go that bit longer.

Two weekly then monthly for me. I asked my Biologic nurse when I saw him the other day if I could extend it further now and he said maybe in a few years! (Started on Enbrel December 2013)

At my first blood monitoring appointment after starting Enbrel the nurse told me that she would put me on bi monthly appointments because my bloods had been fine for a long period of time. I told her I had just started Enbrel and asked if it was wise to make me wait 8 weeks for my next blood test and was just told that they monitored MTX only and it was up to the specialist nurses regarding taking Enbrel.

I thought that I should of been having more regular checks due to starting a new drug and after reading the above posts seems I was right. With hindsight I should of asked the specialist nurses about it.

My bloods have been fine since taking Enbrel so no harm done.
