scared and scared
I got diagnosed a year ago. I started the Enbrel last May. I have had 2 flares since. I also am taking 22 mg. of mtx. a week. Also plaquinel, and prednesone (dont mind my spelling). Doc wants me to take the mtx. by injection. (Otrexup) I am scared of the warnings. It has been approved by my insurance

Just had to have a steroid jab in my elbow due to a flare up. I,m kind of puzzled now because although I have had RA for a while now I thought when you flared it was in all joints or at least more than one. (usually is for me) consultant says that my enbrel jab is still working so considers it a localised

Enbrel and weight gain
I've been on enbrel for two months and have started putting on weight despite not eating more than normal. I'm also more active than I've been for a long time thanks to enbrel doing a good job of controlling my RD and have never really had a problem with my weight until now, even when I was recently

Counselling?
Hi all, I'm writing to find others experiences. I'm 31 and was diagnosed with RA 2.5yrs ago after the birth of my second child. I class myself lucky as due to early detection and treatment I have very well managed pain and no joint destruction. I bob along on methotrexate injections, enbrel injections

Cool bag for Enbrel advise
Hi I am due to start Enbrel injections next week and as I travel for work I have been told that I can carry them in a cool bag with an ice insert and wondered if anyone could recommend a cool bag that they already use.

Starting Enbrel
I am starting Enbrel next week, already on MTX injections. Any advice from anyone out there, also how do you find it, has it helped. Have Psa and AS. I have deteriorated over the last couple of years and hoping that Enbrel might be the answer to my prayers. Would love to hear from anyone on it.

I may be trying for my RA , Simponi Aria! Has anyone tried or taking this?
After trying to get Enbrel , and not getting any funding to help pay for it right now. My doctor is now checking on a different drug called Simponi Aria . And wants to do IV infusions ! He's thinking the insurance may pay more if it's a IV infusion!! Any way just wondering if any one has any information

Medications stopped for surgery
I have RA and stopped taking Enbrel back in April due to surgery. Since then I have had an infection in the wound area and further surgery, so I have only had two doses of Enbrel in all that time. I also stopped taking Methotrexate about a month ago has I had a chest infection. I am really surprised

I saw my rheumatologist yesterday , and he recommend trying Enbrel! I can't help but worry about taking it!!
My doctor said that getting the injection would be less likely to effect my liver as the other DMARDS has!, so I'm waiting now to get approved by my insurance . I got more blood test to check for TB , etc! Before starting it! I've been on prednisone and tramadol for over a month now waiting for

Just started Enbrel
Injected myself (pen type) for the first time yesterday under supervision of the specialist nurse (she was lovely). The only problem I had was gripping the fat on my belly to inject - my best hand was only just strong enough to hold up the fat. Don't think I'll be able to manage a belly jab on a not

Enbrel 25
Enbrel 25 was prescribed to my mother since her RA was too active. She is 65 years old. I am reading terrifying stories about side effects and am contemplating to tell her to stop taking the drug. What would you suggest?

Infliximab has failed, onward to Rituximab!
Right now I have an iron plasma count of 2.8 and a CPR of 54. Bye bye Infliximab. I saw the Rheumy nurse a couple of days ago after finally overriding my severe phone phobia and calling the rheumy helpline. She thought maybe Enbrel but my Rheumy says Rituximab so more blood tests, more X rays, more MTX

Rheumatoid arthritis, pain is back with new symptoms
Hello. I've been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since 2006, after a long ordeal through doctors, drugs without any effect such as Cortisone, Chloroquine and Arava or too many side effects like Methotrexate plus strong pain that lead me to pass a long time stuck in bed, finally in 2011, I was given
