I had to stop my meds because I got chest infection , now pain swelling for the past four days and it hurts so much I will start enbrel today and methatrexate on we'd but I know it want get better as quickly as I would like it to and pain killers just make me tired , but we just carry on

Sorry to hear that you have had to come off meds through chest infections, you fully realise that meds are working when that happens though, so it's a bit like a double edged sword. Hopefully all will kick back in sooner than you think, in the meantime painkillers like smarties order of the day. Hope you feel better soon. xx

Thanks for reply I was not in a good place yesterday pain killers helped a little but I could hardly walk with my left leg much the same today I trying to keep mobile and rest at the same time don't want to get to stiff x

i hate chest infectiohns, you feel so bad!! I hope you fight it quickly enough to get back on your drugs and get a bit more settled. Remember to be kind to yourself and rest and drink plenty of fluids! Non alcoholic of course ha ha, hugs Axx

Alcohol what's that not that I drank much , it was my sons wedding on the 6 June and not one drop passed my lips . I felt bad yesterday pain killers were order of the day and rest and small amounts of walking . I really felt for my hubby when he came home and saw the state I was in , it must b hard for partners to see us in bad ways xx

Yes it's hard for them, but you don't choose to be in pain do you. ? I have bad days and I cope by going into my little cave as I call it! My family know me and when I come out after having my painkillers I can cope. It takes a while to get the coping with pain tight. Rest, painkillers , hot and cold pads and realising that by treating your pain you are actually helping your family too is the way I cope with it xxx glad you are feeling a little better today. I do find when I get a physical illness my RA kicks off big style so hang on on there, when do your antibiotics finish xx

I have finished antibiotics now , and started meds again yesterday but they don't kick in straight away do they , pain today not quite as bad as yesterday but still there , I do try to hide my pain but it doesn't always work . How long have u had ra keep smileling xx

Hi. Sorry to hear of your chest infection. Know how you feel. Had a throat infection 4 weeks ago. Off my Enbrel and methotrexate for 3 weeks,nightmare! But have had R A for 12 years so should be used to the flare up and pain,(no!)Have had 2 injects and metho now. Just starting to feel the relief. Hope your meds kick in soon x
