Verrucae on my feet.
Hi all. Apologies if this posted elsewhere. I have 3 verrucae on my feet. Initially only the one for some years and slowly but surely has spread with one to the right foot and recently, another. I have tried EVERYTHING that can be bought over the counter and no change whatsoever. This includes: silver

I have been a GCA sufferer for over ten years (6 months of Polymyalgia). And I have made mistakes - and sometimes - I just haven't been told or been made aware of important factors. Hands up for the following: 1 Did you know that you are safe if you chose to sit tight on your level of prednisolone proving

Fish and pregnancy and ADHD
In the 1960s the discovery of mercury in fish led to a condemnation of eating fish during pregnancy. Extreme precautions were issued as there was little research on it. 50 years later there is a lot of evidence that the benefits of eating fish far Far FAR outweigh any risk from mercury. The benefits

Is there any new/recent study result data for fish/krill/omega-3 supplements and prostate cancer? This is the best I can find related to Dr. Brasky's study and the counter-argument: https://www.cancerdefeated.com/does-fish-oil-cause-cancer/4002/ George

How to select a protein powder
Before adding protein supplement to your diet, it would be helpful to know why, when and in what quantity should they be used. Protein is very essential for good health as it builds lean muscle, strengthens your immune system, repairs damaged cells and tissues and also functions as an energy source.

Dexa Scan
I requested a referral for a dexa scan from my GP as Alendronic Acid has caused me nasty side effects possibly due to having irritable bowel issues. I have just been informed that there is an eight month waiting list. Is this waiting time normal in the UK? Would appreciate some feedback please.

Control and Treatment of SIBO and IBS
Hello, this is my general response to help people find a baseline. First, go to the doctors and get yourself checked for intestinal infections, and whatever other tests they want to do. Most people find they are all clear, and that IBS is a condition brought on by our modern diet, freely accessible

BLEEDING NON STOP
Hiya ladies...... I am so stressed out and scared. After my failed 3rd cycle in January, my period has taken a bad turn with heavy clots and bleeding lasting about 18 days. My Gynecologist said it’s due to the hormonal drug that it will come back to normal. It’s been the same which is appalling. I can

Alendronic acid
Hi I have two very conflicting reports on AA. I was prescribed it whilst on 5mg pred some 4 months or so ago. I didn’t take it as dentists threw their arms up in horror! I took their advice as I was having implants and have one other bout to go through. This morning my doctor told me I must take

Bisphosphonates and Afib
Due to breast cancer 20 months ago which was estrogen positive I have to take Anastrozole which is a AI (aromatase inhibitor). This can deplete bone density quickly hence I had to have a dexa scan which found I had osteoporosis. Due to this I was prescribed Alendronic Acid which had awful side effects

The essential amino acids and where we get them. 🌶
Hi everyone, I think that that the more we understand about food and nutrition the better. All the food that we eat is broken down into base amino acids, some our bodies make from the food we eat the remaining 9 are the essential amino acids that have to come from our food. So it's quite simple amino
