hi

My SLT results are usually all over the pace and dance around the 200/300 mark, but recently had a reading of over 600! I started taking Colysterimine for the itch (which is still driving me to distraction) and I’m thinking it’s this that is affecting the SLT result. I’ve swapped how I take my dose now and take my UDCA dose earlier in an eve in g then the loader at bedtime!

Just wondering if anyone else had super weird raised SLT as a result of Urso? I’m hoping to see a specific PBC clinic soon as the last doctor I saw thought my fluctuating levels would make be a candidate for nee obeataxholix acid? Maybe they might also help with itch?

As you may already be aware there are other medications other than colestyramine which help with the itch. I was taking Colestyramine, Rifampicin and 25mg of sertraline to control the itch. I have heard others report that obetacholic acid increases the itch for them.

I suspect you will know that URSOdeoxycholic Acid needs to be taken well away from the time you take Colestyramine. The Patient Information Leaflet gives the timings but I believe it is about 4-6 hours.

I hope the specialist clinic will be able to help you.
