Possible First Symptom of PSP - Survey
I am interested in what PSP (only) sufferers or carers remember of the first symptom. Many descriptions of PSP symptoms seem to be generically written, and they suggest the first symptom is usually problems with balance/posture/gait/falls. Then they mention personality changes (e.g. apathy, aggression

Hi All. Joining the discussion late, but can understand the constipation issue - dread every treatment session as it is one of my worst side effects. Loads of water, Movicol and lots of prunes helped a little. But found a natural item: Ortisan Fruits & Fibre - from health food shops. It is made from

Hello, along with other chronic conditions I also suffer from IBS. Recently I have been extremely ill with IBS attacks. When I ate my stomach distended and became painful, I had to take Motilium to help empty my stomach and go to bed. The following day I wouldn't eat as I still felt as though my stomach

REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL!
Part 1: I've just finished 4th line chemo, it's been really gruelling but I've managed to get through it. Part 2: My CA125 has gone down from over 1400 to just over 300 - not brilliant I know but I'm hoping it'll buy me a few months before symptoms start up again. Part 3: It's my 65th birthday today

A difficult day
Some of you may know my mum has end stage COPD, we nearly lost her a few weeks ago. She has deteriorated quite rapidly and now can't do anything at all without desperately struggling to breathe. She is now receiving palliative care at home, she has made the decision that she no longer wants to go into

Why do I feel fed up today?
I've been feeling quite good lately, although I've had depression for many years. I have had therapy and medication recently but I still have bad days. It is like a dark cloud has come over me and I don't know what to do. I'm off work at the moment as it is holiday time - I'm a teaching assistant and

Baby almost due but feeling blue
Hi to all the Mums to Be and Bumps. I've been following this site on and off during my pregnancy but never really thought to post anything before. I'm now 38+2 and getting ready to meet my baby girl or boy. Have been busy in the last few weeks preparing but just this weekend the nursery is finally finished

Coping with flashbacks from after my severe brain injury
had my SBI 50 years ago and really struggled to cope (without any help) for the first 10 years after I gradually coped with life with the occasional back slide. About 3 months ago after the death of a close friend I have being having flashbacks of what I went through during those first 10 years and

Post Interview Blog
Had my interview yesterday. The girls that did the interview were nice. The maths test went well i think. Just they asked about my experience with Excel. I had to try and blag my way around that one as ive never used it in a job. However I can use SPSS (a psychological stats based analysis softwear)

Been cleaning
Been cleaning in the kitchen, I've cleaned round 2 window frames with a toothbrush then with a cloth, I've cleaned paint of a couple of cupboard sides, tried to get the paint off the floor and then cleaned the actual windows. I am sweating like a pig, I have very anxious thoughts when I sweat, thinking

Stability in instability!
Just about the time I think my husband has reached some point of stability, he either improves some part of his life or just the opposite. I tell my friend he is incontinent and then he has several days of dry briefs. I say he is getting me up 3 - 5 times a night and then he sleeps through the night.

Update On My Dad
It's been a long time since I've been on here, this is due to my father's condition becoming worse. It has been confirmed that the Cancer has returned and this time he isn't having any treatment (and I respect that) He's getting a lot of help now from his Macmillan nurse and his Palliative care nurse

Things that go bump in the day
My neighbours are moving today - I had got the impression a few days ago that it was a few weeks before the actual move so a bit of a surprise to see the removal van outside when I got back from my morning run. Saying goodbye isn't really something I'm that good at - intense emotions and I just get
