Living with PsA and using the Social Model of Disability and meditation as coping mechanisms
I've been through the usual regime of medication try outs, from
NSAIDs
, to anti-TNFs and - most recently - Biologicals. I've also tried lots and lots of the alternatives, from visiting Shaman healers in the Amazon forest to Gong ceremonies to accupunture (on the NHS!)

Myopericarditis - rest time/recovery
Hi all, I was diagnosed two weeks ago with myopericarditis - went to A&E with (very mild) chest pains and had an abnormal ECG (T wave inversion), high troponins and neutropenia so was admitted, given an angiogram/echocardiogram but both were clear so discharged after a few days with antibiotics,

Ckd 3 diagnosis
I have hypertension and have had to use
NSAIDS
for years for pain. I can no longer use them. My gp thinks this may have cause it. I have tried Tylenol and it seems to make me bleed also. I initially had a tight sensation in my back, almost like a swelling or spasm.

I can tolerate
NSaids
but they have really bad side-effects and can only be taken now and again for short periods with any safety.

Also very scared of more pain... since I cannot tolerate
nsaids
or pain meds. Anyone have any of this done? Also, should I be going to a nephrologist rather than a urologist? I am planning on getting a second opinion before doing it, but would love to hear your experiences.

Can Prednisone affect Thyroid tests?
I suffered for a year while my Dr sent me to physical therapy and wrecked my stomach with
Nsaids
that didn't help. She treated me like I was scamming her for pain medication. I finally saw a Dr that recognized immediately what I had.

Frustrated pericarditis versus inflammation of esophagus
I can’t take
nsaids
because I get severe gastritis . I was prescribed colchicine but had to get off of it because it was making my feet numb ( dr request) . Which leads me to April 26th. I was at work abd started having worsening chest tightness and back pain.

NSAIDs or not?
I’ve just been reading the information on the PMR-GCA website and in the FAQs it says not to take
NSAIDS
yet my Dr prescribed Naproxen 500mg twice a day. I’ve found paracetamol not to be effective enough on its own. Can anyone advise please?
