Casodex after castration resistance?
After being undetectable on mono HT (Zoladex) for 67 months my dad's PSA started climbing in December 2022. In March it was 0.05. His testosterone level also rose from 0.6 to 1.2. The doctor recommended to add Casodex. After a month, in April his PSA was 0.024 and testosterone was 0.9. I have two questions

Looking for others who have had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s - to get your experiences
Hi all, I'm looking for personal experiences of those who had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s. Little about me and why I'm asking. I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis. Had a laparoscopy with removal of some endometriosis in May 22, also had the marina coil fitted

5 weeks ago I had asked my own physician for a 3 month post radiotherapy PSA and Testosterone done - the PSA was 0.01 and the Testosterone was 0.6nmol/L (17.3ng/dL) - which I felt happy with and seemed good. A week later I had a bad 12 week implant that bled and bruised badly and I could then feel

Zoladex wearing off??
Hi all, I've been on Zoladex since march last year , last week I had my 16th and final jab. Since January I've been getting alot of the Endo flare ups but they haven't been as intense as previous. So whilst painful I could still function to some degree. Last night however I had some spotting and pain

hi Back story, I never had any issues with my periods was on the pill and always had a bleed during the 7 day break. Then around 5 years ago my periods became heavy and unpredictable. Hello, I am on my second lot of Zoladex injections whilst waiting for surgery, I have been on them for 11months now which scares me a little as I know they are only licensed for 6 months but having such a long break from periods has been incredible! However, these past few months I have noticed a

zoladex/HRT pending hysterectomy
I started on Zoladex a week ago, alongside HRT. I am on the surgical waiting list for a hysterectomy with a view to keeping my ovaries as I am 34. Since the injection I have had a horrible stomach ache (alongside the usual crippling pain) but I can’t eat, I feel nauseous and I can’t open my bowels

thoughts on virtual second opinions
Hi all,My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer about 5 weeks ago. He is 65 years old. His current MO has him on a zoladex injection and next ADT has yet to be added. I was looking into getting a second opinion at MD Anderson, Mayo and Sloan Kettering. I noticed that all offered

When to expect zoladex side effects?
Hi all, My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer a month ago. He had his first zoladex injection just over two weeks ago (16 days exact) and just finished his bicalutamide pills (30 days). So far he hasn’t experienced any of the side effects except for fatigue. I was wondering

Zoladex NO HRT
I’m getting t my first Zoladex injection today. The doctor said I can’t take HRT with it because the whole point of Zoladex is that I have no hormones causing endo. I read here that many of you got HRT with Zoladex and I’m confused... I also wonder if Zoladex will be as hard on my mental health as hormonal

Next treatment options available for advancing disease
I have completed all scans available to me and they show new metastatic disease throughout my skeleton. PSA @ 4.65 ug/L. The disease continues to advance while being treated with Zoladex and abiraterone. I have switched prednisone for dexamethasone and haven't had an updated blood test yet to see if

Hot flashes and mood swings
Taking Zoladex again for recurrance of prostate cancer, hot flashes and mood swings are really bad this time around. l have been given a script for Cyproterone 50mg to ease symptons. Anyone using or have used this for the same reasons. Comments would help.

Why do we stop treatment
I have to post my experience of having once stopped treatment. I see various posts here with guys asking about stopping their treatments. I started treatment when I was 52 years old. ADT, Chemo and radiation. After treatment PSA went to undetectable. After 2 years with undetectable PSA I thought I was
