acid reflux with asthma

i have acid refulex for years with a moderate hiatus hernia and a weal flap . Always controlled it with nexium. Many time when it act up it causes asthma to act up. the dr said i did not need the surgery I caught a virus cold 2 weeks ago with bronchitis which made my cough variant asthma act up which made cough violently. i take my asthma med . It seems since this violent coughing my reflux worse, belch and burning in throat when i eat it makes me cough somewhat. So it seems my asthma my reflux is different so i wonder if the coughing violently made my haitus hernia and reflux worse or it is the asthma making me cough when i eat. . I just saw my dr and she said she does not think so. So i wonder. do you get asthma with reflux dpes coughing make haitus hernia worse

I don't know about the asthma part but if I cough my reflux is always worse especially burning in the throat I think the coughing puts pressure on the hernia. If anyone reads this do they know what can ease the throat x

Hi, I also have a hiatal hernia and find my symptoms worse after coughing. I find often in the mornings after sleeping, when my acid reflux is worse, I cough quite a bit due to acid particles entering the lungs.
