please could you settle a dispute. Two years ago my husband had a total heart block and was hastily fitted with a pacemaker. Flecainide, not curing PAF
I had PAF for five years flick and I stopped it every time. No it doesn’t after being in AF for three weeks they changed the dosage. I’m taking a low dose of flecainide every day and Apixaban. I’m hoping it will bring the sinus rhythm back but what happens if it doesn’t is an ablation something to think

AF no longer a problem?
My first episode of AF was in 2014. The ambulance crew came to my house and clearly recorded atrial fibrillation which was confirmed after I was taken to hospital. The Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist put me on Apixaban. I was discharged a year later from his care. A year later I had a short hospital

Regular alternate irregular heartbeats, .75 sec then 1 sec continuous- is this AF or some variation?
Noticed this morning when getting ready for a group bike ride, that I had an arrhythmia - I was slightly breathless as I rushed around getting my kit together. As always, a quick check of the pulse shows my pulse is fast and irregular. Whip out the 1 lead Kardia and first off it says possible AF @ HR

Metoprolol as rate reducer with no affect on rhythm....
So after my last Holter showed 8500 episodes of SVT (Atrial Tachycardia) in 14 days, with a 19% burden of Atrial Ectopy and 11% burden of tachycardia, my EP recommended an echo (which was normal, thankfully), starting Metoprolol, and Eliquis, while I wait for another ablation. I have tried, and failed

Quivering sensations
I hope you are all wellMy question : Has anyone experienced episodic "quivering" sensations that are very brief, 10 seconds or so? I've had something similar before, several years ago and wore a Zio patch for 2 weeks but never picked up any A-fib only PACs and PVCs. I am now 67 year old dx with paroxsymal

This afternoon went into a AF episode after my last one 3 weeks ago, currently on waiting list for my second ablation, now 17 months in.usually when I’m in an episode my heart rate tops is 140 bpm. Suddenly whilst in AF my heart went up 214 bpm, felt faint and very hot. Phoned

Technology question
We went away for the weekend . I was aware of tachycardia in the night ( only lasted few minutes) I always try to capture any palpitations if I can. This was the wee small hours so all electrical equipment was switched off . A tv , two phones and chargers, several lamps. I was about 22 feet away from

Dysautonomia in Sjögren's - Genital Sore/dry symptoms
Because of the shame or embarrassment sometimes involved in talking about vulvar or vaginal symptoms, I have not really gone into depth with my Rheumatologist. I am just wondering whether anyone has any tips of how to soothe:- Burning of the vagina or vulvaI Itchy vulva or vagina I am also going through

Regular care
I was diagnosed with AF around four years ago now, by a cardiologist in a major teaching hospital. I was put on anticoagulants and referred back to my GP. The local surgery check my meds yearly and I have an annual blood test, but that’s it. I am wondering whether I should ask to be referred back to

anal pain spasms 10 years helllllllp
Hi everyone I hope someone out there can help me because it's now been 10 Years that I have suffered with this unbearable pain and nothing seems to help. The doctors have sent me for more operations and procedures that I can even explain. Everything from two different pudendal nerve blocks to radio ablation

Yes, You CAN have the Shingles Vaccine
Hi Everyone, I'm writing this just in case there is anyone out there who thinks they can't have the shingles vaccine because they are on pred. I believed this and refused the vaccine. I later found It was only true if you were on over 20mgs of pred (which I am not). Last October, a new vaccine

Is it safe to renew my tetanus injection with being on 8mg Pred?
My tetanus injection needs to be topped up. I have an allotment in London which used to be part of a railway embankment and wondered if it is wise to take the injection or to wait till I have tapered down to under 5 mg? The same goes for the Hepatitis which is due? Any advice would be appreciated

Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy
I have a friend who contracted Lyme disease and recently underwent a series of hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions. The treatment has completely transformed him and he is now his old self. I have read that this therapy helps Fibromyalgia and other autoimmune diseases and was wondering if anyone knew

Needless to say they didn’t so having paid £1500 for nothing I now proceed to the second stage (suprascapula

nerve
block
, trapezius trigger point injection performed with pulsed radio frequency in a day case unit) which will likely cost about £5,000 .

Shingles and PMR
Hi All, after a couple of days of feeling quite ordinary, I developed a horrible rash which was raised and blistered . My immediate thought was Shingles. I was lucky enough to get an appointment when I booked this morning for today! Yes I know how lucky I am living in Tasmania and that some of you

Vagus Nerve Stimulation?
Anyone looked into this? I've been looking into this a little bit on and off. I have Graves disease and my heart rate variability is somewhat low (disturbingly low 😂) anyway, I've suffered a lot of trauma in life and apparently this can affect the Vagus Nerve which in turn has negative affects on the
