ibrance
I’ve been taking ibrance with faslodex since 2018. I had to stop taking ibrance because of hospitalization (3) for infections that I needed my immune system to fight. Probably 6 months. In that time I developed nodules (small) in bowel, pelvis and cervical 2. I was taken off both ibrance and faslodex

Raised platelets and Eylea injections question for moderators or anyone with special knowledge
I suffer from a rare type of blood cancer in which my platelets are too high. They have been controlled during the last three years but recently have risen again. During the last six years I have been having Eylea injections for macular degeneration in both eyes (somewhere about 60 injections altogether

Advice for ongoing symptoms and asking for a Levo increase
Hello, first time posting here but I have been following this group for a little while now. A bit of background - I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid in October '22 and have been taking 50mcg Levo since then. My main symptoms were fatigue, feeling cold and hair loss. My hair has been shedding excessively

A Wish Fulfilled, and a Legacy
A few months ago I posted about entering hospice and received many precious notes from well-wishers across the world. Your kind words mean so much to me that I’ve placed them in a document to look at whenever I need a lift! Words indeed support the healing process, and I am very grateful for being

I have a history of PTLD but that was years ago (It was spurred by mono and they took me off my immunosuppressants briefly and then changed me from
Neoral
to Cellcept thereafter). I told my primary care who ordered a CT scan but insurance wouldn’t cover it.

Holiday inspiration!
Hi lovely ladies, After reading about Beth’s amazing travels in New Zealand, I hope to encourage you to follow your dreams with travel when you can. I am from the UK, and was crushed when I had to cancel my planned silver wedding anniversary trip to New England twice, the first time because of the pandemic

Latest Update to Here We Go Again
Underwent the "simple mastectomy" on Nov 1 on the right side. This is my third breast cancer surgery and sixth primary cancer overall. I was so discouraged to have cancer again and did not want the surgery, but it was the only rational option. Already have had so much radiation to the chest (lung cancer

Jelbea in reply to dickJones and anyone on buprenorphine patches or tablets.
I have not posted for some time as I have changed from Butec patches to Temgesic sublingual tablets and have been having some issues. Firstly, as dickJones has found out the patches definitely do not last seven days for most people. When I started the patches (15 mcg) I was getting reasonably good

Should I take more than 6 chemotherapy cycles?
I have completed the standard of treatment for a GBM - surgery, followed by daily radiation and oral chemotherapy for six and a half weeks, then a six-month regimen of oral chemotherapy given five days a month. Some doctors are advising to continue chemotherapy for 12 cycles or till my body is reacting

Navelbine capsule experiences
Had left lung removed last year but learned cancer now in remaining right lung. Oncologist has suggested oral chemotherapy treatment using Vinorelbine (navelbine) capsules as a middle, gentler path than intravenous route but hopefully more beneficial than no treatment. Does anyone have any experience

I'm Back!
I had to replace my email address and my phone and lost all access including this site about a year ago! My update: I was on oral chemotherapy with several different medications, slowly reducing down the strength of them because if my reactions - heart & breathing issues. But my cancer kept disappearing

Post rectal radiotherapy
I gave just finished a 28 day cycle of radiotherapy for a rectal tumour accompanied by oral chemotherapy (Capecitebine) It has given me severe proctitis and tenesmus which started after the third week. Has anyone suffered with this? How long does it last? Any tips for managing it?

HAIR CARE
One of you ladies mentioned Nioxin #3 Shampoo for thinning hair. I would like to order this shampoo but would like to know if it actually stops the hair from falling out. I don't want to spend money on it if my hair is going to fall out anyway. Someone else also mentioned Nizoral Shampoo and Conditioner

Does Hydroxycarbamide make it take longer for you to recover from an infection?
Hi everyone! I'm new on this site and I'm interested in learning about the experiences of people with Essential Thrombocythaemia (ET). I was diagnosed with Janus Kinase 2 (JaK2)-positive ET about a year ago but only started on oral chemotherapy with Hydroxycarbamide (Hydroxyurea) a few weeks ago, as

Low Grade & Cyclophosphamide
Hello ladies. Had anyone with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer had oral chemotherapy called “Cyclophosphamide”. It’s an old chemo drug that apparently works on slower growing cancer cells. My oncologist suggested it to me a while ago and said it had been trialed at some point in the past but not really

Itchy Scalp for months - slightly hair thinning but no visible scalp issues.
For the last 5 months, I have been suffering from an itchy scalp, primarily on the crown of my head. This happened essentially overnight and after scratching for a day, I coincidentally saw that my hair had thinned slightly in those itchiest areas by the next day. I went to see a General Practioner a
