Hypothyroidism and/or general pituitary dysfunction and bulimia (pathophys experts help!)
Hey guys, have you seen the development of hypothyroidism either in the midst of or after bulimia? I am a 27 year old male and have struggled with it for over 11 years now. A few years, all hypo symptoms began. Generally, my TSH has been normal around 1.5 with low FT3 and low/normal FT4, no antibodies

Getting closer to being well
Good morning. Since Decemeber when i had my first tests on armour a lot has happened. I felt wonderful and then started having slight hyper symptoms about 6 wks in. T4/T3 levels good but .04 TSH after 8 wks. I didn't notice until after the fact of the ENDO pulling me off Armour 1 grain (60 mg),

Curing Hashimos
I just spent the afternoon listing to a pharmacist who had hashimotos, and cured herself. Her name is Izabella Wentz. She had a 9 day seminar and of course she has written a book. You might want to Google her. She went on gluten free diet, and also stopped dairy, which she claimed ended her thyroid

New MD won't prescribe Cytomel (T3)
I had to switch doctors, and the only one I can go to completely took me off Cytomel and put me on Synthroid. Of course I feel exhausted, cranky and very off. My TSH and T4 are not even borderline, but he insists my body will adjust. He doesn't think I need more comprehensive testing, so I'm searching

I'm new to T3 and after reading about Cytomel on here earlier I thought I'd google to see if it's the same as Tiromel and lo and behold I find out it's a weight loss drug!! How come I'm not losing any weight then? My T3 is pretty good ( 5.00 (3.1 - 6.8)) and though some of my symptoms are relieved I

So grateful!
I am so thankful for finding this resource! I have had thyroid propblems for about 10 years. I have had ups and downs throughout that time. It is so hard to have an optimal life when things aren't in sinc! My general physician just gave me a small dose of cytomel. My general physician is not that

Hi all, I have been on Synthroid for many, many years. Last summer, due to severe temperature fluctuations, I finally had a CT scan and found out that I have NO thyroid gland! Doc thinks Hashimoto auto immune syndrome destroyed it over the years. I have been doing ok on 75 mcg Synthroid, but having

Gluten and lactose free diet
I haven't been on this forum for a while and I'm agreably surprised each time by the seriousness and expertise of the answers given to us sufferers from thyroid problems. Myself after many years of digestive probles, painful auto-immune arthritis and Hashimoto's disease I finally decided 3 months ago
