Adult Croup/chest infection/tonsillitis
Hey I was diagnosed with Tonsillitis two weeks ago and as it was starting to clear started coughing up clumps of blood so ended up at AandE where I was put on a nebuliser, given a dose of oral morphine, a dose of steroids and amoxicillin, told I had adult croup and sent home. It’s now been 5 days and

Bad Asthma Flare
I was put on prednisone 40 mgs for 5 days then dropped, plus doing
nebulizer
treatments 4 times daily. 3 days later I wound up in the ER, they gave me IV fluids and IV of 80 mgs of steroids and another breathing treatment, sent me home with another 10 supply of prednisone.

Top tips for coping with asthma
Make sure your emergency inhaler or
nebulizer
is ready to go. Take your emergency inhalers everywhere. I have one in my bedroom and one in my purse. Make sure you also have your maintence inhaler with you at all times. Again, I have one in my bedroom and one in my purse.

Due to a bit of mix up didn't get any prednisolone after
nebulizer
. (Please don't critize the staff I was fine after the
nebulizer
cough had nearly gone).I am well aware of the routine of treatment in A &E having been there 7wks ago with an asthma attack due to cold.

What I know 21,595 days later !
Now if I've been having trouble I have my
nebulizer
nearby. And home breathing treatments are much cheaper than the ER. I also now know there's no cure but a good maintenance plan helps.

Holidays!
I’m an allergy driven severe asthmatic, first diagnosed 6yrs ago. Have had wet and cold summer holidays in the UK for the last 4yrs, three of which I ended up in A&E and stay in hospital. However this year I desperately aspire to some sunshine. Has to be a direct flight from Glasgow and somewhere with

Afternoon tea from mothers day
Although I was still feeling really tired with a slitting headache due to the salbumtol inhaler I used during my attack and the
nebulizer
of the same thing it made me smile and feel very loved. :-)

Nebuliser Newbie
I am about to start an indefinite course on a colomycin nebuliser. How do other users cope when on holiday, particularly cleaning , sterilising and potential voltage changes.

My Allergist/Pulmonologist is not taking my Bronchiectasis seriously.
I feel often like I am suffocating, but I am only helped slightly by my
nebulizer
that I have had for years, since my diagnosis was asthma. What do I do, find a new Dr, or wait a while and try again?

A and E = 7 hour wait
I had a bad asthma attack. Rang 999 and used my nebuliser. Paramedic arrived after an hour and advised us there were no ambulances available..so we took ourselves to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. Arrived at 6.15pm feeling extremely ill. I finally received a nebuliser and if steroids at 1.am Then admitted

Ineffective cough with bronchiectasis
Mum is living with bronchiectasis but has a very poor cough mechanism due to damage sustained through radiotherapy. Does anyone use any equipment/gadgets that can help bring up mucous from chest? She's getting more chest infections of late. We're doing daily physio, nebs, suction but it's still not doing

ANCA AND GOODPASTURE VASCULITIS
Docs thought i had pneumonia for 4 months, 100% right lung-75% left lung, no hospital ir bloodwork, just meds and
nebulizer
. Another Doc finally did bloodwork, I ended up in ICU for 15 days: eGFR 10, Creatinine 4.75. Lungs and kidneys = 2 ULTRA RARE Vasculitis Diseases = ANCA & GOODPASTURES.

Not again!!
Rant incoming! I thought I was just getting in to a really decent run, and was pretty stable on my reducing course of prednisolone (had got down to 25mg over a few weeks). Then the wet weather appeared yesterday and I went from totally fine to being on the border of a severe/life threatening attack in
