Yvonne honey, hospice should provide/lend to you I believe......

I would also speak to the gp as surely this isn’t something you need to buy and/or equally have to choose!!

Please keep us posted on what happens!

Sending you a great big squeeze x

I have got the nebuliser from amazon today, DN showed us how to use it, marvellous george seems better today, nightmare yesterday, felt really. Stressed, no centre today for George, still coughing and choking but I think this is how it’s going to be. Yvonne xxx

Isn’t Amazon wonderful. They have come to our rescue a few times. I am so sorry you are going through this tough time. I know many have dealt with severe choking. This is one thing that truly frightens me. It may be my breaking point for homecare. Right now it’s one day at a time.

Sending good wishes. Happy to hear George seemed better. Perhaps this will pass.

You are in our thoughts and prayers

Keep using saline. You can use as much as needed. Charles reaches for it when he needs it. George will do as well. Praying it will help him.

Spring allergies and pollen have caused problems for Charles. I've been keeping house closed for now and keeping dust and pollen out until season ends.

Hugs

Does George have an Occup Therapist, or has PSP Assoc assigned a Specialist Advisor to you. Could they not help you get one through NHS. You shouldn't have to buy one. Another option is borrowing one through the Red Cross.

Life is s--t with PSP and you don't need unsympathetic GPs handing out prescriptions for 1 day that is totally out of order. (( )) more hugs lovely lady.

No none of those. I have ordered one already, it stressed me out so much today, could not have another day like that, They should come and liver with someone with psp, things would soon change. Sendin you a big hug. Xxxxxx

Dear Yvonne,

We have this through Hospice. Hope you can as well. We ONLY use saline now. The albuterol caused major irritation and coughing (and you and I know how that is). Let me know what happens.

I bought colloidal silver to add to the water for our nebuliser. Should aid in killing any bacteria that might cause pneumonia. I've tested it with 80/20 water/silver with no irritation whatsoever. The couple of times he's used it he didn't have the patience to hold it for more than 5 mins, and because it didn't help clear his lungs instantly he couldn't be arsed using it for any prolonged period. I will insist if he starts to get pneumonia though. Only had food in his lungs a handful of times so far. Separating wet and dry food stuffs stops this from happening for now.

Dear Yvonne,

Are you using Zantac? We do at every meal and it has eased the pain in the esophagus. Another idea we are employing.

Glad saline is helping.
