Hypothyroidism symptoms, in range results, potential next steps?
Hi, I've had fatigue and stomach issues for around 10 years following a bout of food poisoning however in the last few years these symptoms have become worse and now cover most of the symptoms named by the NHS for hypothyroidism, including in the last year or so developing what I assume is a goitre.

Hi. 13 days ago I posted about horrid night sweats https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149807088/awful-night-sweats-hyper-hypo-other The correct name is generalised hyperhidrosis as the sweats are all over, not just palms, armpits, etc. Back particularly sweaty. This has continued and is affecting

ERFA with added iodine
Hiya.I have recently sourced a batch of ERFA via a private pharmacy, but after reading the fine print on the bottle, I have noticed it also contains 0.2 % of iodine. I thought this would be counterproductive, as iodine supplementation is not recommended with hypothyroidism? I am now concerned about

Low TSH, T4 but optimal T3 on NDT (22 weeks pregnant)
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and get my labs run every month. Getting treatment has been a bit messy. I was referred to an endo and went out of curiosity when I was first pregnant. But I also did my own research and read Stop the Thyroid Madness, joined some groups, etc., and learned about NDT. I felt

Help with dosing ov Armour thyroid
Hello everyone, Currently on 112.5 mcg of Levo , split into two doses , and no thyroid, I am switching to Armour thyroid . I am apprehensive about dosages to start with, as I react very strongly to drugs. For example, taking Levo in one dose instead two, gives me headaches and migraine-like visual

Ndt prescription?Prevent metabolic syndrome? Izabella wentz? diet?
I read that metabolic syndrome is associated with autoimmune diseases (so also hashimoto), so I decided to prevent it (I found a book on the spot, let's hope it's good). Has anyone else successfully followed izabella wentz's advice? I really liked her advice and put it into practice right away

anyone opted for Watch and Wait with indeterminate nodules thy3f? Looking for people with similar previous experience to make up my mind
hi everyone just wondering if anyone ever had the courage to opt for wait and see tactic with indeterminate nodules? How often did manage it? How did you feel in the end? What made you make that decision? my situation is that I have two indeterminate nodules on either side. Doctors recommended total

Latest reults
hi I’ve just had my latest thyroid panel results, numbers seem slightly better for antibodies but still higher than they should. Ft4 & Ft3 slightly higher than last time but still not optimal? B12 and vit D is a work in progress. Ferritin is edging out of optimal towards high end, not sure what this

Q re Levo not "topping up" natural thyroid hormones and side effects of overmedication
I've been prescribed levo recently and am currently struggling to work out what does works for me and doesn't send me into a jittery, irritable mess. I can't remember blood test results exactly but something like 6.8 TSH and low T3. All my other bloods were fine. I've been on a super healthy diet and

Cardiac surgery
Has anyone on long term thyroid meds had open-heart cardiac repair surgery? Any ideas as to whether it affects thyroid and any need to up/ lower T4/T3 meds? Any reflections/suggestions would be most welcome.

thy3f thyroid nodules on either side - doctors recommend total thyroidectomy
hi there I was recently diagnosed with 2 thy3f nodules on either side of my thyroid. Thy3f is an indeterminate result (25%malignancy 75% benign). I have no symptoms recently had a baby, breastfeeding, busy mom of 3 on no medication. Has anyone elected watch and wait tactic instead of thyroidectomy?

new blood test results - should I increase? NDT
hello all, I am on NDT and got my new blood results. They are as followed: TSH: 0.13 (0.27-4.20) Ft3: 3.10 (2.00-4.40) Ft4: 0.96 (0.93-1.70) Test was done 9 am. Last dose NDT was 24h before (1.75 grain - taken all in one). Do you think I should increase my dose of NDT? Or should I stay on

Enlarged thyroid
In May 2023 I was advised that I have an enlarged thyroid gland that was partially causing narrowing of the trachea this was seen via CT. I had thyroid bloods done and advised they all came back normal. In December had a repeat CT which showed the same as before as well as ultrasound scan which confirmed

NDT on NHS
Hi everyone 😊 I just wanted to ask if there was anyone out there who gets their NDT prescribed by the NHS? I am having the argument with my GP at the moment, as I don’t convert, but just wanted to know if anyone out there had managed to get it from their NHS doctor. Thanks
