In May 2023 I was advised that I have an enlarged thyroid gland that was partially causing narrowing of the trachea this was seen via CT. I had thyroid bloods done and advised they all came back normal. In December had a repeat CT which showed the same as before as well as ultrasound scan which confirmed the size (enlarged) and numerous non cancerous nodules. All tests done under the care of ENT who I am seeing for another health problem. I haven't been offered a referral to another specialist. I regularly have elevated heart rate (resting rate is usually 85-90), oxygen saturation always under 92%, a cough as I feel like I have phlegm in my throat all the time. ENT have said they'll follow up in 6 months and have asked me to speak to respiratory about my heart rate and oxygen saturation.
Does anyone have any advice or experience of en enlarged thyroid aswell as thyroid narrowing the trachea?

I had exactly that back in 2014 back in the UK. I found that it was difficult to breathe, nothing to do with my heart at all. Nothing was done apart from a scan and an FNA which was negative.
I moved to France in 2015 the Professor Surgeon removed my thyroid. Before it was removed my thyroid was still working perfectly which was strange my trachea was then moved across, back to it's original position.
I didn't know anything about the thyroid before and then I was lucky and joined this site.
