Low TSH, T4 but optimal T3 on NDT (22 weeks pregnant)

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and get my labs run every month.

Getting treatment has been a bit messy. I was referred to an endo and went out of curiosity when I was first pregnant.

But I also did my own research and read Stop the Thyroid Madness, joined some groups, etc., and learned about NDT.

I felt AWFUL on Levo, so found a functional med doctor that can prescribe NDT (Thyroideum). Since I switched, my symptoms have disappeared (I feel like they were more levo side effects than hypo symptoms...which I've never really had since I found out I was hypo in August).

But, of course, the endo was like "I don't know NDT and you risk the death of your baby if you don't take levo"...so I told her I'd take the Levo (I didn't).

I'm currently on 180mg of NDT and feel good. Baby is growing normally.

But my TSH and T4 are very low, so the endo keeps telling me to up my levo (which I won't...because I'm not going back on it).

I went through my GP this time to get my labs and asked them to test T3.

Can I please get some feedback on how things look?

They tested the wrong T3. They tested Total T3, which doesn't give much useful information. What you want is Free T3 - Vrij T3? Total T3 can be high/'normal' but Free T3 can still be low. Could be that you just need an increase in NDT, but you can't know without the right tests. :)
