Losing my will to live due to thyroid disease
My Graves’ disease has been in remission for 15 year until I spent most of last year over active then I was rushed to hospital in October with a heart rate 225. Put on propranolol and Carbimazole. Now it seems I have gone under active, feel worse than I ever have, catch every bug around, loss my sense

Confused about latest blood tests - why are FT4 and FT3 rising, but I still feel awful and I'm undiagnosed and not on any meds?
Sorry for the super long post.... I would very much appreciate the help of you wonderful people on this forum. I am a bit confused with my latest blood test results that I just received yesterday, and am hoping that you will be able to help me understand what's going on. I'll try to keep it brief, while

BTF Webinar on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs)
EDCs are perhaps the most important topic in endocrinology today but rarely discussed. This BTF webinar will presumably be an introduction to the subject https://www.btf-thyroid.org/Event/meet-the-thyroid-experts-webinar-endocrine-disrupting-chemicals-and-how-they-can-affect-your-thyroid-health .

I speed from Armour Thyroid (1 grain am 3/4 pm ) last Monday to 50 mcg Levo and 10mcg Liothyronibe am and another 10 mcg pm. Bloods done Tuesday am (last dose T4 24 hrs before and split T3 am/3:00 pm and 7:30 pm). Only water before test at 7:30 am. Results below. I’m wondering how quickly the change

ndt am/pm
Hi, I am starting my ndt with a 1/4 of a grain am and pm on a slow build. I wanted to know if ndt is best taken both morning and afternoon or can I take just morning? Fitting it around an Emory stomach in the afternoon is a bit tricky.

What else to increase T3? Tried everything ...
Hello beautiful people, My latest TSH is 0.66 and had to lower thyroxine just a bit (from 100/88 to just 88) as was getting some hyper symptoms and felt way better with a lower dose, finally have energy and drive again! My T4 is healthy range, 60% through. However, my T3 dropped to just 10% of the range

Help getting Thybon Henning in France
I have been trying to get better for nearly a year now. I was on Thyroid s NDT for over seven years and felt very well. All that changed last Sept when the NDT changed and my FT3 dropped from over 6 to 2 I started falling over. When I had a blood test it confirmed it. I have Levo and T3 Cynomel prescribed

Iodine supplement
I would be interested to know if anybody has taken an iodine supplement to support thyroid functon and have they noticed any benefits? I've been advised that it helps to eliminate harmful bromine and fluoride stored in the thyroid gland?

Has anyone whose tried T3 and NDT felt better on just T4?
A little bit of history - thyroidectomy aged 21. More or less fine on just T4 for 20 plus years. I then saw an Endo about parathyroid issues in 2018 at which point he suggested ERFA because he felt lots of my symptoms were related to my thyroid and T3 conversion. Since then I’ve tried many different

Looking for a doctor / functional medicine
Hi everyone, I am on 4 grains NDT and 20 mcg T3 per day. My FT4 is just beneath normal range, FT3 upper third of range and suppressed TSH. My endo is supportive but says he has never seen anyone on so much thyroid replacement! I am wondering why I need so much (and have a few symptoms I would like

cortisol/underactive thyroid
Out of interest, if your cortisol is high in the morning, would taking your levothyroxine in the morning make you feel even more stressed/twitchy?

Reactive and exercise-induced hypoclycaemia
Morning all,I I have an appointment with an endo in June to work out whether I need thyroid medication, but think that I’ve worked out that my main problem ( since my hemithyroidectomy) is reactive ( post prandial) and exercise-induced hypoglycaemia. I have read that there is a known link with the

Timing of NDT doses
I will be switching from Levothyroxine to NDT in the next few weeks. How do people manage to eat if we need to split the dose into 2 separate times, and leave 2 hours either side of taking an NDT dose, particularly avoiding magnesium, calcium and iron? So for example 9am breakfast followed by supplements
