Help with my husband's results he is really struggling
I am so grateful to everyone on this forum as I have now been officially diagnosed with Hashimotos after going privately and opted for Armour NDT so next bloods will be first on meds and supplements. I wonder if I could get some wisdom on my husband's results. He has been ill for years now which was

Results of TSH Modification Experiment
I inquired last week about what effect I could produce on TSH within three days. I appreciate the expertise and wisdom I received. I had just seen an endocrinologist who wanted to cut back my NDT because my TSH was 0.027. You advised me to stick to my rights as a human being. The endocrinologist seemed

cortisol/underactive thyroid
Out of interest, if your cortisol is high in the morning, would taking your levothyroxine in the morning make you feel even more stressed/twitchy?

Reactive and exercise-induced hypoclycaemia
Morning all,I I have an appointment with an endo in June to work out whether I need thyroid medication, but think that I’ve worked out that my main problem ( since my hemithyroidectomy) is reactive ( post prandial) and exercise-induced hypoglycaemia. I have read that there is a known link with the

anyone got experience of private Drs or this reaction to dropping meds?
TO UPDATE, I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AN ENDO FROM THE LIST AND AS MY ENDO ALREADY PRESCRIBES T3 ONLY THERAPY FOR ME (long story) HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WAS ALREADY GETTING THE BEST I PROBABLY COULD OUT OF AN NHS GP. SO NO NEED TO PAY PRIVATELY. Depressing to know no more nuanced help from anyone, but

Iodine and Povidone - A Chemistry Lesson
Over the years, we have seen many mentions of povidone-iodine. This video is the first time I have ever come across a proper explanation as to why povidone-iodine is chosen! It then continues with its aim of extracting pure iodine from povidone-iodine. The video could be very boring if you are

Reassurance about taking T3 during pregnancy
Hi All I’m just looking for some reassurance if anyone else has continued on T3 during pregnancy. When I tested positive my ft4 was 17.5 (12-22) but my ft3 tanked from 4.4 to 3.1(3.1-6.8) and all my hypo symptoms were terrible. (Previous ft4 was17.1 and ft3 4.4 so I was still probably under medicated

Underactive thyroid
Hi, my thyroid levels have been up and down recently. I've been on 125mcg and felt fine until the GP decided, after a blood test, to lower the dose. The dosage I need isn't available so I'm now on 100mcg for 5 days and then 112mcg for 2 days. Is this an ok thing to do? Thanks.

Help with blood test results
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos over 40 yrs ago following removal of thyroid gland due to large goitre. Had some blood tests requested by my private Endo and just seen the result of one in particular in my GP app (even tho surgery said they couldn’t carry out the blood tests for private patients!). They

hi lovely forum folks quick question (well quick as I can make it!) My Erfa runs out in 28 days. I’ve contacted Roseway to make an appointment and have asked them this question … can I switch from ERFA to liothyronine (T3 spelling 🤔) through them, and take levothyroxine again from my GP. What happens to your thyroid levels
Question of curiosity. If someone is having a seizure and they take bloods for thyroid levels would your labs show a low level of thyroid hormones or would it show a higher level of hormones? I thought I read that if it you fall ill like have a seizure that your levels will drop to protect you???

Update on my thyroid medication 🤦♀️
Hi everyone ❤️ I posted some weeks ago about my appointment with an endocrinologist on Dec 27th, who just stopped my T3 prescription and put me back on T4 levothyroxin to which in her own report she stated... This lady is intolorent to both T4 and T3, therefore I recommend she goes back on T4 levothyroxin
