Advanced prostate cancer-gleason 9 with lupron
My father was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer-gleason 9. He had a bone scan last week that revealed 3 bone mets in his pelvis and his psa is currently at a .998. Doctors were shocked about the mets because his psa is so low. They started him on Lupron and Bicutamude under the brand name Casodex

PSA dropping but pain
My husband has been Lupron, casodex and finished upfront Docetaxel( 6 cycles finished in October). DX metastatic 2/1/2017 with PSA of 1044 at 47 yrs old. His PSA has steadily dropped to 2.4 as of 6 weeks ago. This week he’s experiencing pain in his back and ribs. Is this pain a probable sign of progression

Thanks all
I have received quite a few replies following my posts about stopping treatment. I have since deleted the post while trying to delete the picture that accompanied it, that was a mistake. Thank you all for the positive and warm replies to my post. I realize that stopping treatment is not something that

Slow recovery from Chemo, Round 4, Session 2
PSA 1124, Age 59, Stage 4, Dx 3-22-16 So after watching my PSA slowly climb from the nadir at 1.45 on 12/19/16, 2017 was a year of steady increases and a bunch of therapies tried, and failed. After my first chemo session of 6 cycles from 7/18/16 thru 10/31/16, along with 3 month Lupron shots and Zometa

Suffering with ear and jaw pain, fatigue and vertigo
I was using
nasonex
but it started making my nose bleed after three weeks so I stopped. Alongside this one of my top teeth has pulpitis and I've been fighting the pain of that too and need a root canal.

A month of Casodex monotherapy
I did 30 months ADT and stopped, with MedOnc approval, last shot on 03/31/17. Didn't want PCa to go castrate resistant. So, monthly PSA went 0.1- 0.1- 0.2 - 0.5 - 1.3 and 3.3. Did a month of Casodex monotherapy and got down to 3.0 and T at 291 - up 40 from last month. Same lab. maybe an outlier. Was

Restless leg syndrome??
I take amitriptyline, zopiclone, diazepam, aripiprazole, metformin, lisinopril, fenofexadine, naproxen, paracetamol, meberberine, lansoprazole,
nasonex
spray. Sometimes gabapentin for neuralgia. Do you think it might be restless leg syndrome? If so does anyone know what causes it please.

time for decisions; just finished 6 rounds of chemo (docetaxel)We had loupron ,casodex along with prednisone. we were on xgeva for the bone
only ordered 4 shots of xgeva {1} every 4 weeks.Received last one. He said we could stop the casodex or to keep taking it. we see the dr. at Hillman middle of May. His PSA dropped from 11 on Nov 23 to 0.02 . They are planning on putting him on zytiga so it is up to us weather to take {casodex} or

XTANDI SIDE EFFECTS
Hello I'm a newbie.. Here's my story. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1994, very little treatment available at that time. We started out with 38 treatments of radiation, opted out of removing the prostate since Dr. said, "cancer was detected in lymph nodes". Started taking Lupron months

Why I Like Right To Try
Lets say you have a rising PSA on Xtandi..with crossover resistance Zytiga will usually work for a few months. Hello Apalutamide..the problem here is Apalutamide is very similar to Xtandi and both drugs have a chemical structure based on Casodex...so if Apalutamide works you get maybe 3 months. Darolutamide

Xtandi
I have been on Xtandi for two months and PSA is now down to .59 and I feel much better than when I was on Lupron and Casodex. I have read the literature and it seems that Xtandi may work from three to 22 months. They don't ever seem to tell you what the standard deviation is. Has anyone on this forum

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkqizmvqJPo I'm wondering why my oncologist at U of M, (Sylvester) and my second opinion at the Moffitt Cancer Center....both said after Lupron for 10 months and 6 session of Taxoter..I'm doing so great...all of my bone mets disappeared and the few lymph nodes have either

Help and hope
My husband has Stage IV, advanced prostate cancer with mets to the bone and intraabdominal lymph nodes. He had a PSA in September 2017 of 540 and his doctor didn't do a biopsy until late December 2017. By then, his PSA was 1250. Gleason score 10 of all 12 biopsies. He's had Casodex, Lupron shot and
