Glutamate triggers!
First line treatment goes after how the body absorbs glutamate. Not surprisingly foods high in glutamate are triggers for me, and I assume would be triggers for others (yes, we are all different). The reason I mention this is some of the foods high in glutamate, like parmesan cheese (all aged cheeses

Targinact working
I have been on Targinact for 2 weeks in conjunction with Gabapentin & Ropinirole - it's been transformational , with no more standing up swaying during the evening plus I am sleeping much better now. I would say 95% gone. I hope it's not temporary as that was my experience with Ropinirole years back

Covid: How a £20 gadget could save lives
Not sure if this has already been posted but thought it was very interesting. Link to BBC site below. One of the mysteries of Covid-19 is why oxygen levels in the blood can drop to dangerously low levels without the patient noticing. It is known as "silent hypoxia". As a result, patients have been arriving

Is Amitryptiline contra indicated with Pred?
Sadly, Co-codamol only worked for two nights. Then I remembered that I had been prescribed Ami with Morphine Sulphate when I had a herniated disc. It was still in date and for the last two nights I took it at 8pm , as I had done before , light off at 12MD and slept through until 9am. That may not

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists

Day 9- HCG trigger shot
Hey guys, just another quick update. I've been in a tizzy the last couple of days. When I was getting my medications, they told me not to get my Lupron trigger yet because it's only good for 14 days, after which you have to discard it, used or unused. Fast forward, after my weekend baseline ultrasound

Augmentation & No sleep
I am in need of help please. Some of you have seen my posts before and the recommendations I have appreciated BUT now I am desperate for a decision which my doctor is unable to commit to!! I have split Ropinirole 0.25mg tablets now for 8 weeks plus and still taking a 50mg Tranadol capsule. Nothing works

Treatment for dry, peeling lips
What do you use for Sjogrens dry, peeling lips? I have had lupus for 30 years, and a variety of dry eye and salivary gland issues, that have at times been severe. Been treated for both. Also have dry sinus, and sleep apnea. Even if I use items to prevent mouth breathing during sleeps, lips still

Coconut water
I read a post from a while back on here about a guy that had gotten RLS when he had a nasty case of the flu. He talked about how beneficial coconut water was for his RLS. I was skeptical of course, so I looked it up. Pregnant women use it sometimes for the potassium and everything. Since it’s packed

Some foods tasting soapy
I started noticing certain foods tasting like perfumed soap / liquid detergent two weeks ago. First it was pork foods. Then seasame oil (so soapy it made me gag) and peanut butter. Just now I had to spit out raw pepper as it also had exact same soapy flavour. It's not pregancy but I did have my Mirena

Still have to completely avoid triggers while on opioids?
So, with the possibility of a hospital admittance being in my future, I’m sure they’ll want to get me on medications for my stomach that will not agree with my legs. They’ll also probably have me eating a BRAT diet. I’m scared. Last night I woke up a bunch of times and I was restless and had nothing

Hello all - I saw the neurologist here in Seattle this past week about moving from Ropinirole to Buprenorphine due to augmentation. He decided I should move over to 900 mg Gabapentin before bed instead. I have been taking 300 mg of gabapentin 3 x daily for other reasons. During the discussion he

Peak flow meter measurement
Hello all, I have recently buyed peak flow meter and I started to measure my peak flow in the morning, afternoon and evening before taking my therapy. I found it strange that even when I feel symptoms (chest tightness) according to my peek flow meter I am in green zone( which should be from 517-600

CBD and THC
I still use CBD and THC for pain it works really well HOWEVER the prescribing doctors don’t realise we need very specific plants or it can make it worse. I have been on Nanibis it works well for pain the doctor changed it to a brand called spectrum from Canada and it overrode my buprenorphine. I thought

A Message to ChrisWF and the Entire Forum
ChrisWF and all Forum Members, To be clear, I am one of the people who complained about two of your replies, because I felt you were using sarcasm and negativity with some posters because you did not like what they had to say when you could have just ignored them or made your point without the sarcasm
