Movicol

I have been taking movicol for two months now ( different amounts ) going numerous times bit still feel impacted

Does anyone take Docusate with Movicol

The doc has prescribed Movicol. It has not agreed with me. I only took one sachet on Thursday evening. Friday I tried prune juice ( recommended by someone here) and had porridge with fruit.

No bowel movement despite Movicol. Can I now take laxative. Experience please

I have done above and feeling bad

My daughter has been on Movicol for about. 18 months. She is having 3 maintenance sachets per day, following a disimpaction 3 weeks ago, but still is soiling daily. She’s 6 years old. How long should I continue with Movicol? Should I remove it and see if it will naturally sort itself out?

because it doesn't happen usually the meds he is on are, lanzoprazole, mucodyne, glycopyronium, metformin, stalevo, rotigotine patch, oxybutnin, sodium docusate and movicol we give either lorazepam or oramorph to help him settle down in bed, once he has settled il either give him zopiclone or some cbd

We managed to get on top of his functional constipation with Movicol and regular toilet sits but his innate response to withhold whenever he senses the urge to poo remains unchanged. No amount of encouragement, reasoning or explaining seems to have any effect.

Has anyone else experienced movicol actually making things worse? I want to make the most of the paediatric appointment but just don’t know what I should be asking for, I’m reluctant to try more medicines when this recent reduction in movicol seems to have actually improved things.

But the chemist was having issues with the supplier so no laxido so he gave me movicol, till laxido comes in I hope . He says it’s the same but I’m unsure . Any one on movicol ,advice would be great 😊

Senna has been given & increased Movicol. Imaging she will poo tomorrow. But is she impacted if she has had proper shape, size poos just days ago? Or is she just constipated and doing parts of a softer poo?

I have to take movicol daily but I think it affects my mood. I find I get very agitated from around 6am and feel upset and anxious. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Not sure if it makes everything empty too much and then I’m having blood sugar issues/hunger. Thank you.

Anyone got experience with fybogel and laxido/movicol for long term? With fybogel it seems it takes a while to get working (compared to 6+ hour for other types).

She's had the Movicol regimen and and is now on one a day but this does nothing. Her stool was already soft before she was prescribed this. I just want to feel I'm not alone with a child who is miserable because she's uncomfortable all of the time, it's draining!

Failed at movicol disempaction now this.

My 9 yr old son has been on the highest dose of Desmopressin for a year, and movicol and docusate sodium. We recently changed to both Pico sulfate, and Laxido, and he is now wetting almost every night. Does anyone know if it will be the new medication conflicting with the Desmo melts? Many thanks.

Been told to do movicol disempaction regime. But I can not get the 8 sachets in him. He suspects its in everything I give him. Meaning he is drinking and eating less too. Any advise please 🙏

My son had the same trouble with movicol I went to a GP in a hospital and they told me to increase the amount I was giving him which I was giving him one sachet a day and he was having tummy pains I didn't agree with him so I took him to my GP practice and a GP in a different hospital and was told when

She had movicol for a year, now on a v low maintenance amount & use senna a few times a week at a small dosage when needed. Some weeks - even months she’s so regular, goes 5 times a week. Then, it changes and we have a week of constipation where she doesn’t go for days and days.
