Movicol or laxido affect mood

I have to take movicol daily but I think it affects my mood. I find I get very agitated from around 6am and feel upset and anxious. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Not sure if it makes everything empty too much and then I’m having blood sugar issues/hunger. Thank you.

Does it have any kind of sweetener in or aspartame - that affects me had to stop D Mannose for bladder issues due to this it also drops my mood - Activia Yoghurt is another one does the same so I now avoid any form of sweetener

The movicol doesn’t have any sweetener. Originally I used laxido but that had sweetener which is why I switched to movicol.

Hi Jenny

I know your post is quite old but I am finding I get anxiety after my Movicol dose.

It is very unpleasant and if I take it close to bed time I cannot sleep.

DId you resolve this?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I got better and got myself off the movicol. They kept saying I had to stay on it indefinitely and I just knew that could not be true.

I get the same, bloats me up big time, can't sleep either of too near bedtime. Colonic irrigation only thing that works for me, gotta be good therapist though.
