When should my daughter stop Movicol?

My daughter has been on Movicol for about. 18 months. She is having 3 maintenance sachets per day, following a disimpaction 3 weeks ago, but still is soiling daily. She’s 6 years old. How long should I continue with Movicol? Should I remove it and see if it will naturally sort itself out? Please advise! Thank you :-)

Did you get reach watery stools with no lumps consistently for three days before you start reducing the doses down extremely slowly ie one sachet every three days until you reached a suitable maintenance dose to remain on. You need to be on the laxative for as long as you as the issue persisted in the first place.
