soft, sticky stool which is hard to pass - any advice?
I feel embarrassed describing my poop but am at the end of my rope with my gut issues. I’ve had IBS for 25 years but the last 5 years have been non-stop, daily issues. Over the last 4 years I have had endless tests. A colonoscopy and gastroscope in 2019 which was clear, a clear ct scan later that year

Update on NOT a UTI
Hi, just to update. I had the cystoscopy this morning, not a pleasant experience, but no cancer, no inflammation and no gritty substance, so that at least is good. She did say some people's kidneys do just excrete microscopic blood particles as their normal, but that I possibly have overactive bladder

Stopped taking Linaclotide (Constella/Linzess) for chronic (idiopathic) constipation, a new medicine for me to try.
So I finally had my consult ('second opinion') in Leuven (Belgium) at the gastroenterology unit of the university hospital, after I did see a specialist at the gastroenterology unit of the university hospital in Groningen (The Netherlands) beginning this year. The specialist I spoke with also doesn't

Firmagon vs Lupron
So, the question is what are the up or downs if switching from Firmagon to Lupron. I used Orgovyx until it didn't work, switched to Firmagon. Wanted either due to family history with heart issues. Dad, uncle's, brothers, all having issues. One brother recently having a major HA... But the convenience

Saline nasal rinse and glaucoma
I suffer with allergies and used to use steroid nasal spray. Now I have glaucoma I now know that these sprays are bad news! I've been looking into saline nasal rinse kits as an alternative to help me with the chronic catarrh in my throat but can't see any information about if these are safe to use for

edoxaban or rivaroxaban?
I have been on Lixiana (Edoxaban) since my AF diagnosis just over two years ago and have had no issues at all with it. After my last request for a repeat prescription I got a phone call today from the doctor saying that the blood test I had last August (!) revealed a slight decrease in kidney function

Colestyramine
I have recently had a colonoscopy which resulted in all biopsies being clear. So have had a diagnosis of ibs d and possible Bile Acid Malabsorption. My consultant started me on 1x 4g sachet once a day for a week and increased to two sachets a day for a week. But I’m still having very loose, frequent stools

Not a UTI
Thinking I had picked up a UTI (strange feeling in bladder area and frequent feeling of needing to urinate) I requested a urine test, which was done. The triage nurse at my surgery informed me that although it showed no infection there were in fact microscopic traces of blood in there, (which would be

hi all, hope everyone is ok. QQ, I have started round 3 and am taking Buserelin for the first time - I have a pretty large rash on my stomach which hasn’t gone down and it’s been 4 hours since I injected, infact the rash is now worse. I always had a small rash with other drugs which usually went

Aching face
Diagnosed with PMR in March 2023. Started on 15mg Prednisolone and got down to 12mg in July but not able to go down further. Pred relieved most of my symptoms and allowed me to lead an almost normal life with not too many side effects. Since then, I seem to have gone backwards and had to return to 15mg
