Losing hope
Dx 2003 aged 46. until about 6 months ago i refused to be beaten. Now I am utterly beaten. For years I’ve taken madopar every 90 mins . I have always had sudden swings between off and on but was able to make them bearable – with the odd blip - with extra madopar. I worked out years ago that protein interferes

Melatonin
I was just wondering about melatonin in Sleep. Does it improve your sleep by sleeping throughout the 7 hrs ? Does it stop the breaking of the sleep? Can a non pd person take it? I will also like to know how long it takes for ones’s stiffness to go away after taking madopar? I understand its different

I started taking madopar and apparently asked a seventeen year old shop girl to warm my bed. I am 79. I have absolutely no recollection of this. All I remember is talking to a small bunch of youngsters about motor bikes since they had bikes and I have been riding since 1949 and in maturity was an outlaw

MMS DMSO for treatment of Parkinson's
My father has been diagnosed with Parkinson's in september 2017. He is 74 years old and took Madopar (Levodopa/carbidopa) for 6 month. Before the diagnose we saw that he might have Parkinson because he walked slowly with small steps(around10cm and close to the ground( around 10cm) -in contrast with

Pramipexole brand differences UK
I take a 1.05 dose of pramipexole CR as well as Madopar. For several years the NHS brand of choice has been Pipexus. There was a supply problem to my dispensary when I picked up my most recent prescription and I have been taking the Teva brand for two weeks now. I am finding that my symptoms are

A dignified journey
Hi all, I just wanted to pop on here to express my sincere appreciation for this site. I haven't really participated here, but have found it to be a wealth of information while transitioning through the different stages of my dad's PSP journey. Alongside that, it has been really remarkable to know there

PROOF THAT MADOPAR ACTUALLY WORKS .... (for me).
Over the past several months, I have begun to notice that my legs are starting to ache after I have been walking for a considerable amount of time. This afternoon it became much worse, to the point of actual quite serious pain. (And I can't for the life of me, believe how I could have been so astoundingly

Madopar - does anyone take it?
I was on Pergolide for 18 years. Wonderful. Cured my restless legs until they took it off the market. Now my neurosurgeon has given me Madopar which doesn’t touch the problem. Help!

Gabapentin causing itch?
Hi all again, I have been on Gabapentin twice a day from my skin over--sensitization issues and half a madopar at night for the hypnic jerks and everything else. After a week or so, the doctor advised me to use three gabapentin of 400/day to attack the skin sensitivity issue even more. However, after

Madopar shortage
Boots in the UK tell me they cannot supply Madopar 100/25 capsules at the moment because of a problem at the manufacturers. They do not know when it will be available again. Anyone else been told this?

Madopar Advice
Need advice on those taking Madopar (or similar). My main symptoms rigidity in back and legs - with a continuous cramp in my feet. I take 125mg x 3 times per day. I really only feel "off" after I take the Madopar. About 20-40 mins after taking the tablet I get serious cramps in back/legs/feet for a period

B1 experience so far!
Hello all. I have been tuning in to everyone's experiences since I joined in March 2018. At that time my husband was diagnosed with PD and as I am the more able one with computers I have been reading listening to your experiences and researching your valuable advice. We have had quite the roller coaster
