You can do a search for madopar here and you will find plenty. Be aware that some of the posts may be several years old and the people may no longer be active.

Hi ......... happy to help but rather than random thoughts on Madopar could I suggest that you prepare a questionnaire and submit for those taking it to fill in

I will be happy to do so

Best of luck in your studies

For a second year nurse, I suggest you get your information from other sources, such as Mayo Clinic,, WebMD, Even Wikipedia, to get some main line information.

I started a low dose (150mg) 6 months after diagnosis. Have slightly increased after 2.5 years (200mg). Works well for me - brings relief after 30 mins and lasts about 4 to 5 hours. No side effects as yet.

With it I am basically normal

and no one can tell I have PD. I am scared of having to go without and have spare pills stashed all over in case I forget my bag etc.

Have to take it prior to food to get the longest lasting effect, and I have reduced my protein intake in general as protein makes me feel worse.

Not what you're looking for?
