For a second year nurse, I suggest you get your information from other sources, such as Mayo Clinic,, WebMD, Even Wikipedia, to get some main line information.
I started a low dose (150mg) 6 months after diagnosis. Have slightly increased after 2.5 years (200mg). Works well for me - brings relief after 30 mins and lasts about 4 to 5 hours. No side effects as yet.
With it I am basically normal
and no one can tell I have PD. I am scared of having to go without and have spare pills stashed all over in case I forget my bag etc.
Have to take it prior to food to get the longest lasting effect, and I have reduced my protein intake in general as protein makes me feel worse.
