I was on Ibrance and letrozole for two years as my cancer came back in left lymph nodes again. I had estrogen type cancer in left breast in 2009 and had a double mastectomy and chemo. Then for 5

Actemra twist
Just saw my rheumatologist today. I’m having some trouble with the veins on my right arm during my monthly IV treatments of Actemra. I had a left side mastectomy so I can only use my right arm for blood pressures, injections, blood draws and IVs. Veins are not holding up too well after all that’s been

Is ADCAL dangerous?
My GP put me on ADCAL when he diagnosed PMR and started Prednisolone. At my first telephone consultatioon with a rheumy (I sacked him yesterday!) he said to come off it as it is dangerous. I am not on any calcium medication. Anyone confirm this or make any comment? Thanks.

Medical marijuana
Hi! I’m 53 year old women with RLS. I weaned myself off requip in January, my symptoms weren’t that bad for awhile but lately they’re coming back and getting worse. I am so scared to go back on any type of medication that could cause augmentation. Has anyone here tried marijuana? Legal or illegal? I’

Why 0.1 or 0.2?
After hours amd hours of reading about the rise in PSA post a Radical Prostatectomy, not one article or person has explained why 0.1 or 0.2 is (or three consecutive rises within a within a specified period) is considered biological recurrence. Is it simply it's a nice round number or it was the threshold

9 Gleason Score
My name is Tim and am currently 63. When I had my PSA checked in January of 2019 it was 19. I made the decision to go to Mayo in Rochester for my diagnosis and treatment. Was told I had a Gleason score of 9 and aggressive cancer. Had surgery in June of 2019 for radical prostatectomy and removal of 19

Severe reflux
I am reducing my pred dosage, from 15 in March to 7 now. I have always suffered with reflux for which I have been taking esomeprazole for many years but I’m really struggling this week. Because the reflux is a lot worse to the extent I’m chewing a few gaviscon tablets each day and feel nauseous . The

Glad to be part of an understanding group
Hi there I feel that this path is so long. Began in 2004 with bilateral mastectomy and TAC chemo. Then in 2014 tumor markers high pet scan showed bone meets. Faslodex added to Arimidex and now Ibrance is replacing Arimidex. Sometimes I feel that instead of the side effects I'd rather live my life free

Preoperative testosterone level predicts unfavourable disease at radical prostatectomy.
New Italian study below [1]. "In this study, we evaluated whether serum testosterone levels may have a role in predicting unfavorable disease (UD) and biochemical recurrence (BCR) in patients with clinically localized (≤ cT2c) ISUP grade group 1 PCa at biopsy." "BCR-free survival was significantly decreased

The impact of 18F-DCFPyL-PET/CT on the management of patients with recurrent PCa.
Interesting results from a new study below [1]. "
66% (226/341) had a PET-directed change in management.
"The most common change was conversion from observation or systemic therapy to surgery or radiation for loco-regional (n=74) or oligometastatic disease (n=30) or alternatively the addition

In Pursuit Of Restful Sleep And Help For Nocturia
One topic that seems to come up regularly on this forum is the issue of poor sleep or insomnia and it seems very common in PWP so I thought I would try another experiment to see if I could improve on my current sleep regimen and if I could, I wanted to share that information here on the forum. On that
