Update on "How credible is my report"
Finally got an explanation as to why my DCFPyl PET scan was reported as radical prostatectomy and not a prior RT . My GP called the radiology lab (in my presence) and got another Radiologist to review the scans. He confirmed the 4 'uptakes' and said he could understand the initial radiologist interpretation

Pred, lansoprazole, adcal, bloating and constipation...feedback requested
Hi everyone. Not edifying I know...sorry! I'm on 17mg of pred....been thereabouts since diagnosis 2 months ago. I've cut carbs and expected my digestive system to alter a bit whilst the change of diet kicks in. But 2 months in and I find I experience significant bloating every time I eat, regardless

Fibroids after menopause
I've had a trans vaginal ultrasound and an 8cmx8cm fibroid was found. I've known I had fibroids since 2012 but never had any issues with them. This was found because I went to my GP with pelvic discomfort and some urinary issues. I have Vaginal/vulval and cervical atrophy and its 6 years since my last

Decrease in Levo?
Hi, I’d gratefully like to receive your advice on whether or not I should ask for a decrease in levo from 100 mcg to 75 mcg. My problem is, I’m slightly over medicated but not enough to advise a reduction. However, the higher my dosage the more weight I pile on, especially on my midriff and stomach.

ADHD sis-in-law also very angry
Hi everyone~ Just as my own life is improving my brother is having MAJOR ISSUES with wife. She has ADHD and takes ritalin (don't know dosage) and is very angry. She's not doing anything active to help ADHD other than her medication (which she also stopped for a couple of months.) A couple of weeks

How credible is my report
I even feel dumb writing this but unfortunately the expression "professional incompetence" comes to mind. The question is, do the 18F DCFPyl PET /CT scans actually show the prostate gland? I had the scans last week and only just received the written report. In three separate paragraphs it states 'persistent

Hypogonadism & upgrading of low-risk PCa.
New meta-analysis below [1]. By now, the association of low testoterone with more serious PCa has been established IMO. (But I continue to post on such to counter the old "fuel on the fire" belief.) Upgrading means that the pathologist, after radical prostatectomy [RP], found more serious cancer than

When to take medication?
Hello PMR people, an update on my Pred doses - I went up to 10 for just a week then dropped back to 5 but was in pain again so went up to 7 again, I’m staying with it for now as it’s working and I’m not too bad. Will try to reduce in a few weeks. I am so annoyed because I was doing so well on 5 before
