Jaydess
This is smaller than the
Mirena
and releases less hormones but there is very little info on jaydess and endo. I am coming up to a month on jaydess and I am very very happy so far! I could not tolerate the pain from the
Mirena
at all and in the past progesterone has given me horrible side effects.

Can someone please shed some light! Please!
I have endometriosis, and the
mirena
coil fitted. I am 21 years old. I went to the loo earlier for a pee, and some tissue paper got caught in the strings of the
mirena
(strings are too long, GP is aware). However, I tried to detangle the tissue paper but accidentally pulled on my strings.

Change from Decapeptyl & livial onto Mirena Coil
Can I ask that any of you who have switched from Dec/ livial to the
mirena
coil could give me some info on what I should expect, if anything, in terms of side effects. Thanks

Mirena and bleeding
I had a coil fitted for heavy periods about 2 years ago and haven't had a period for approx 18 months. In the last 2 days I've started bleeding with low abdominal pain. Any idea what should I do - do I go the the GP? I'm worried because my Mum died of ovarian cancer - I know it is highly unlikely

What do you think of this letter that I will give on my next appointment in August?
Whenever I have been on the pill or had the
mirena
they did not help with my pain and they brought with them depression, anxiety and mood swings. I have learnt that a complete change of diet helps me, and it has taken me many years to figure out what food and drink I can and cannot have.

Anyone any experience of Endo returning after having Mirena coil fitted and no period for 3 years?
Had a Laparoscopy in 2010 then another in 2015 to remove lesions and on the second one also had
Mirena
coil fitted rather than a Hystorectomy, periods halted after six months, with just a light break through every now and then.

Mirena coil & Laparoscopy - my current story
The consultant didn't really listen to any of my symptoms, said that it sounded like IBS and that I should try the
mirena
coil to see if it easies the pain.

Lap - no diagnosis. Frustrated
The results showed no endo or anything abnormal but they fitted the
mirena
coil at the same time. Not that I want endo but feel so frustrated I haven't got any answers as to the cause of constant daily pain. Its been more than two weeks since the op and I still don't feel right.

Hysteroscopy, D&C, biopsy and Mirena coil
I just wanted to thank you for being there when I needed someone to talk to. I had put my constant bleeding for over 10 months down to 'the change' and my lack of energy and tiredness I thought was my age (I'm 51) however after Drs identifying anaemia and referring me to gynae, I had a scan, they found

Endometriosis excision surgery
The surgeon also inserted a
mirena
coil during the surgery but I'm getting bleeding still and like this horrible water bloody discharge. Just wanted to see if any of you had the same feeling 4 weeks on.

Surgery and the coil??
The doctors have told me to try on the
Mirena
coil instead of the pill (Lucette) and I’ll have it inserted during my surgery. I was wondering if anyone has had the coil and what their experiences were, as all I can find are bad ones which is making me a bit apprehensive about having it.

Pill or no pill?
Hi everyone, I had my lap done last year, my surgoen fitted a marina coil. My body really didn’t agree with the coil and tried to reject it and it was awfully painful so bad it removed Feb this year. Since then i’ve been reluctant to go back on any contraception. I’ve been on lots of different pills

Thank you all for sharing!
Ultrasound showed no cysts and 1 polyp and am getting
mirena
next week to see if symptoms subside and discuss polyp. If not, next step is a ct scan and possibly the “menopause” drug to see if I feel better and further out, laparoscopic surgery if all else fails to give answers.

Thickened uterine lining
Hi, I’m 51 years old (have 2 children) and had my 3rd
Mirena
coil inserted 18 months ago. The last two have lasted 4 years, however, with the latest I have started bleeding off and on for the last 4 months. Visited GP and was referred for an ultrasound and TVU which I had on Thursday.

My experience...and help if you can
Hi, I was diagnosed with endo when I was 17, I'm now 33. I had various different treatments and was lucky enough to fall pregnant with my son who is now 3. I've learnt to 'cope' with the pain and extreme fatigue throughout the years. One treatment I found really helped for a few years before I conceived

Head is all over the place....
So it's back to surgery again and I'm trying out the
mirena
again even though it didn't suit me last time as apparently if that doesn't work I need to choose between quality of life and a hysterectomy. For the first time in 16/17 years since I was first diagnosed my head feels utterly fried!!!!!
