endo and mirena
Hi all, I have had the
mirena
coil now for almost 3 weeks and have experienced pain since it was fitted. I had it done just over half way through my cycle and started to bleed the day before I would have been due on anyway.

Cyst on ovary
The GPS also tell me that my endo maybe causing this despite having had the
Mirena
coil fitted last May. Has anyone had an ovarian cyst and how big does it have to get before being taken seriously?

pink blood discharge ( mirena coil related or endo?)
everything has been fine so far but has taken a while for my body to settle down with everything especially with my hormones from being on zodalex for six months and then had the
mirena
coil fitted in afterwards.

Bowel Bleeding - being passed between gynae and gastro
What I am not too sure of as well is that the bowel bleeding always seemed to correlate with my period, but since having the new
mirena
my periods have stopped but the bowel bleeding continues – is this possible if it is bowel endometriosis?

Bleeding and Fibroids
This time I've been told to stop the HRT altogether (a
Mirena
coil and estrogen patches) and this should solve my problems. The fibroid hasn't grown in size, but hasn't reduced either.

Advice.
Hi everyone, I saw a consultant yesterday via Cancer pathway GP referral, I have had horrendous heavy painful periods for as long as I can remember, I saw a consultant 4 years ago who said I had large fibroids and fitted a
mirena
coil. My periods never changed!

Mirena coil?
I have a laproscopy scheduled soon and my doctor suggested I get a
Mirena
coil placed in. May I please ask if anyone has had this coil placed in? What was the removal procedure like?

I’m new here, could my endometriosis be coming back? Any advice would be great
I had the
Mirena
coil fitted during my laparoscopy. My recovery was difficult but I eventually got there and 7/8 months later I was back to myself. All was going great until last month when I started to feel some pain although it wasn’t every day so I tried to ignore it.

Dienogest V’s Mirena Coil - Advice/Preference please
I have now been advised to take Dienogest to suppress return of the disease … or alternatively get the
Mirena
coil. What would your advice be? I keep reading about people feeling depressed on Dienogest and that frightens me as I greatly disliked the feelings of low mood on Decapapetyl!

Endo with no bleeding?
I have had the pain since then but had
Mirena
coil in between so it masked the symptoms. I’m worried that it can’t be Endo as I have never really had heavy bleeding or clots. The pain comes 1 or 2 days before period is due and lasts up to after ovulation.

Confused and seeking advice
Anyway - had
Mirena
coil fitted, it has helped with the pelvic pain and the ridiculous heavy periods, still have pain around ovulating and what would be period week, but it is manageable. It hasn't helped with the digestive issues or the pain during sex.

Diagnosis, sort of..
The gynae team want to explore the
mirena
coil route before any surgery to confirm which seems odd to me. I've expressed my concerns over how it could affect my moods again & generally the thought of it just doesn't sit right with me.

Conservative or Radical Surgery?
I’ve tried the
Mirena
coil, decapeptyl 3 monthly injections with Tibilone and currently on Cerazette. I’m also on the waiting list for surgery at a BSGE centre. My question is how did everyone weigh up what surgery to have?

mri didn’t show deep infiltrated endo
Was put in temporary menopause then given
mirena
coil. I have pain constantly in my bottom right abdomen and initially got told I must have pulled a muscle in the gym. The pain is so bad sometimes I’ve been to a and e.

Decisions re possible surgery
Stay as I am (
mirena
coil in situ) and be referred for pain management. 2. Zoladex injections (chemical menopause). 3. Surgery to remove endo from the various places but not remove womb 4. Surgery to remove endo and hysterectomy.

Been told by gynae I'm too old for endo but gp disagrees?
Also, have wet myself :( I'm not having periods as a
Mirena
coil was fitted. I've been signed off and my gp is almost certain it is classic Endometriosis. The specialist was adamant it couldn't be as I am too old. My gp disagrees with this. My appointment has been expedited.
