Hi guys I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis/adenomyosis with the uterus completely attached to the bowel 7 months ago, I’ve been struggling with painful heavy periods for around 12 years, I have been referred 3 times to a gynocologist in the nhs & they have lost my refferal every time, so I was at my whits end & ended up seeing someone in private care, I have had the Mirena coil & been on prostap injections for 5 months, i am booked in for laparoscopy surgery next month but only to remove some of the endo, ive been told by too specialists they don’t want to separate the uterus from the bowel & do a bowel resection until I have tried to have children. Just wondering has anyone had this & conceived or had any problems (having to wear a bag etc.) as I’m worried when I do come off prostap il get the constant bleeding & pain again,
I have been told I can stay on the injections long term as long as I have add back & bone scans, but I’ve not had a period whilst being on prostap & all of a sudden I’m bleeding heavy has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I had a bleed a few weeks ago light then spotting then stopped after two weeks. I take vitamin d, the doctor said i don't need the tibolone but prescribed it, on reading that it can cause bleeding i decided to manage without the hrt. Hope this helps, sending you a big hug x
Oh I'm sorry you are going through this. I'm in a very similar position. I'm fused together too. They can't do a hysterectomy as they as they've told me it's too dangerous. I had an abandoned hysterectomy in September and I've been bleeding constantly for 20 months. Zoladex hasn't stopped the bleeding for me either. And it's not just a little bit of blood! I'm hemorrhaging regularly and I'm constantly anaemic. I have stage 4 endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis and a large cyst on my left ovary. I also have hydrosapinx which is blood in my fallopian tubes. I am 51 though so it's very different. I think the zoladex takes a while to settle and HRT whilst good for mental health, can make you bleed so you must get it balanced. Good luck xxx
