Contraception for endo

I have recently been diagnosed with mild endometriosis at the age of 29, I am looking to start a family in the next couple of years.

Currently I am on no contraception and have heard the mirena coil or the pill is best to slow down my endometriosis developing any further.

Wondered if I can have some guidance of what is best xx

Hi I’ve not had children so I can’t help much. Getting advice from an Endo and fertility expert might give you more info on what to use with the aim of children in a few years. I had a merina coil for seven years and it completely controlled my symptoms. I had no periods at all during that time so no pain. It didn’t stop the endo and adenomyosis from developing and when I started having periods again they were painful but the seven years of nothing were great

I don’t know what impact it has on future fertility though.

Everyone’s different but it really worked for me.
