How to get the right help?
Had
Mirena
coil fitted 6 months ago but still bleeding and pain. At appt today gynae doc says she is to have 3 monthly injection and HRT treatment but no explanation and very dismissive. Affecting her life hugely as her job involves walking miles per day usually in agony with stomach and bowels.

Positive story - regaining health & body confidence (w/ photo)
(I must add that during this 4 months, I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst on my right ovary as a result of the
Mirena
coil and put on HRT as they suspected it was leaking, so I was pretty much bed-bound for 2 weeks). Ladies - don't give up.

Did your surgeon tell you they removed the mirena, completely, but never found it , and it was still inside you perforated for 6 years?
Even after this
mirena
was removed just 3 months ago, i am still suffering in pain from where the
mirena
perforated.

Newly diagnosed mild endo. Horrendous pain daily. Any advice on what painkillers work for U? Any foods I should avoid to help?
Consultant has said the best way to help my pain is depo or
mirena
but because i want a baby they're not currently an option. Any particular foods I should try and avoid? Any support or advice would be great. At my witts end with this pain!! X

Just need to talk...
Also I have the
mirena
so I don’t normally have periods however I woke up with one this morning so maybe that’s why I’ve been so bloated all week.

Endometriosis or hypothyroid? Both?
Plus, I had my first laparoscopy finally confirming endometriosis in November 2017, and had the
Mirena
coil fitted at the same time. Since then, my pain and periods have been so much better, but it's getting worse again.

Mirena strings...
I’m not to sure what to do as I can’t seem to find my IUD strings. Has anyone else had this problem? Also I have really bad weather pelvic pains around my ovaries and bowel movements are really painful sorry if this is TMI.

Dam night sweats!!
Blood tests said different but I have a
mirena
coil in place. Any thoughts? At my wits end. My male GP just don't get it. Went to women's clinic last night who said wasn't my
mirena
doing it. Booked in next week with a female GP.

Bowel endometriosis
I have never been formally diagnosed but after suffering crippling oains throughout the left side of my pelvis, hip, thigh at regular times each month (and verg heavy periods) my GP suggested the
mirena
to see if it helped. Since having the
mirena
in Jan my pain has virtually vanished overnight.

Hysterscopy/Mirena?
He then said he wants to do a hysteroscopy and put the
mirena
coil in at the same time. I do NOT want the coil. And I understand a hysteroscopy is far less risky than a laparoscopy but my GP along with many others think I have endometriosis as do I.

Possible endo in the belly button under the skin?
I need to mention too that I was on pills for xxx years, changed to mini pill 3 y ago for 2 y and been ok
mirena
coil. I recently discovered by visiting my gyn that I had a overian cyst - never had cysts. ( the doc that was operating me is a surgeon but not gyn).

Estradot, HRT, Cysts
Most likely due to the
Mirena
coil, but have been prescribed Estradot patches which is essentially HRT to try and shrink it and prevent any new cysts growing. As i'm only 29 the letters "HRT" worry me a bit but at this stage I'm willing to try absolutely anything.

TMI sex question 😂
For this reason my husband and I had a couple of months off, but after a lovely evening 🤭 I found I bled slightly (fresh red) after sex which has not happened before (and the
mirena
has stopped my periods) and my husband said it felt different-like there was an obstacle in his way and his penis didn

Anyone had a chemical menopause to diagnose Endo?
I still have long but lighter periods since having a
mirena
coil over a year ago? Dr not convinced it definitely is Endo pain given the laps and all the scans (ultra/ct) I have had.

Mirena expired over a year ago
Now I’m wondering whether it’s due to the
Mirena
‘winding down’? Anyone else had a similar experience with the
Mirena
? I’ve never had a problem with the
Mirena
before and am on my second.

I'm so sick and tired of all this. Mirena isn't helping...blah blah blah. You've heard it all before.
I then had a course of injections to make my body think it was going through menopause and a
mirena
fitted.
