Milk thistle

I have read about the benefits of milk thistle supplementation with respect to helping with both liver and thyroid matters.

I add also- mint, milk thistle, cayenne, cloves, lavender, etc. - just check what you can find locally , can use powder or oil. I give my creams to friends and relatives and they all ask for more - really help and anyone can do it for the fraction of the price.

How do I use milk thistle seeds and is it really useful for fibrosis?!

I have been being kind to my liver (AKA less ETOH) and on advice of my Integrative Medicine doc, I started on a supplement of Milk Thistle to supplement liver function. I have been having a occasional mild dyspnea/tachypnea. The MPN Specialist does not think it is PV related.

They have also taken me off Nattokinase and don’t want me to take milk thistle. I don’t think they REALLY think that will hurt my liver but are grasping at whatever is not western medicine. I am doing what they ask for now.

Does anyone know about Milk thistle (Silybum marianum)? I read that is often suggested as a treatment for NASH and liver fibrosis. Ann

I tried milk thistle now im taking more supplements for my pre-diabetes. I don't know how to get out of my head. I feel the doctor isn't doing much.

I started giving him milk thistle tea and a liver detox pill (herbs) shortly after he got out of the hospital. Has anyone tried CDB to relieve symptoms or to treat this disease? We don’t know what else to try. We thought if he stopped drinking everything would get better.

Does anybody on here take Milk Thistle tablets or Apple Cider vinegar whilst taking Riveroxabyn?

thistle -> 300 mg Possibly GABA and liver sausage because it may help devolve iron in the brain.

My doctor prescribed milk thistle, a methylated multivitamin, Soria Composor hepavesical complex, red rice starch for the cholesterol, and a host of other things to help get my liver to go back to work.

Changes I'm making/have made include: Taking a milk thistle supplement. Drinking 3 cups of green tea a day. Drinking 3 cups of coffee a day. Eating salmon, tuna or cod at least 4 times a week. Switching red meat for lean chicken (occasional steak if I go out).

Take the following supplements, vit d3, mag malate & mag glycinate, vit k2, milk thistle, folic acid. Biotin & omega 3 fish oil. I'm also gluten free.

I take vit d Vit c Milk thistle & omega fish oils Also thyroxine Whuch I believe are ok to take What can I expect from the specialist when I see him I do know everybody is different Just looking for advice Thank you
