My B12 story
Hi everyone, happy to find this forum. Long post alert. Btw my first online medical post. Itching all over body started way back 2010 . There was no rash or nothing. But worst itching. Even multiple bath it didn't go away. A clever doctor suggest that to take bath thrice. It continued. The struggle

Advice on next steps
The last 2 months all symptoms slowly started getting worse. 2 weeks ago I started taking only b12 cytoplan sublinguals (
methylcobalamin
and adenosylcobalamin 500µg of each) and I’ve started to notice a calm coolness and gradual ease of the worst hot tingling.

1. Questions! Questions! Questions!
Is either hydroxicobalimin or
methylcobalamin
available in the states? Question #2 --- Knowing that once a person is on B12 injections, the B12 blood test is unreliable, what is a reliable test for pernicious anemia ?

b12 worked but then not as well and im not sure why. any ideas?
Hey there! Last year I had an infection in my gums after getting a tooth extracted and had all sorts of nerve issues (tingling, numbness) for a couple months. I had what felt like stomach indigestion (but normal bowel movements) and extreme fatigue (sleeping 10-11 hours a night and 1-2 naps a day).

The Four Types of Vitamin B12: Which One To Take?
While known commonly as ‘Vitamin B12’ it does, in fact, exist in four very similar chemical forms, namely:
Methylcobalamin
Adenosylcobalamin Cyanocobalamin Hydroxocobalamin https://youtu.be/1RV13OaKXUg https://www.b12-vitamin.com/forms/

Low fluctuating b12 but no advice from GP.
I’ve tried taking supplements but found that the
methylcobalamin
gave me head-splitting headaches. Is it safe and advisable for me to take b12 supplements? If so what type would you recommend? Also would you be able to explain why my b12 levels are on the low side?

Angry After B12 Supplements. Why?
Hi- I take methyl-B12 sublingually every day. If I take 3,000 a day, I either feel very angry or depressed (zoned out). If I only take 1,000, I'm not sure that's enough. I don't have access to the shots because I live in a rural part of the US. 1) Does anyone else feel almost more anxious/angry

Liposomal B12 - again!
I have read what has previously been posted here about lipsomal B12. But have now had pointed out to me some claims/information which is more extensive than many other places. (I'm ignoring whether it is methyl-, cyano- or hydroxo-cobalamin.)

Can I take a 2nd B12 test after I skewed the first with supplements?
I've also increased my dosage of b12 with another sublingual (
Methylcobalamin
and Adenoysl mix at around 6,000 MCG a day to self medicate. But I have started to worry that I missed the loading injections and may not be able to improve my neurological problems.

Irritability a side effect of B12 injections?
Hello all, I've just had my 5th injection of
methylcobalamin
at home and have been feeling extra irritable, interpreting things in darker ways, and much more weepy. I'm concerned about this. Is this a normal part of the adjustment process?

B12 level is too high?
For the past 4 months I've taken supplement B12
methylcobalamin
, could it be that I've overconsumed B12 vit? I do eat meat fruit veg daily, but not much red meat. It's the first time I have vitamin levels checked cause I thought I might have deficiency.
