I have read what has previously been posted here about lipsomal B12. But have now had pointed out to me some claims/information which is more extensive than many other places. (I'm ignoring whether it is methyl-, cyano- or hydroxo-cobalamin.)
Liposomal Methyl B12Bioavailable Methyl B12 using liposomal technology for superior absorption and delivery
Liposomes penetrate the blood-brain barrier, an obstacle for other formulations
In particular, if this statement is true, has anyone investigated high B12 levels within the brain?
They also claim: Liquid liposomal formulations are convenient for those who prefer to swallow fewer pills. Well, so do injections! And, for that matter, so-called sublingual lozenge.

What they say: Liposomes penetrate the blood-brain barrierWhat they don't say: Our liposomal B12 results in a greater proportion of B12 crossing the blood brain barrier.
It's highly unlikely that their stuff would result in the liposomes floating abound in the blood. So it couldn't help cross the BBB.
I cannot find any proper studies. I can find one article that pretends to be a real study but doesn't seem to have been peer-reviewed. oatext.com/evaluation-of-li... In it they say that their liposomal B12 is absorbed.
What they don't say is that is was absorbed better than a regular oral B12 supplement. Why don't they say that? Either because they were too stupid to do the obvious comparison, or they knew that it wouldn't be any different, or that they did the comparison and found that their stuff was worse than an oral supplement.
If it worked they would have proper scientific studies to back up their non-claims.
I had seen that study. 53 people. I couldn't find any registration of the study, or scientific and ethical approval. (Maybe I simply didn't search well enough?) And the OAT site itself claims to be a "showcase"!
Not sure exactly how it relates to their claims because there isn't enough info given about their formulation; however, in the US, Designs For Health is one of the supplement brands "prescribed" by integrative medicine practitioners.
